"I feel a million miles away

Still you connect me in your way

And you create in me something I

would've never seen"

Jimin walks the crowded streets of the town, careful not to bump into any unsuspecting and unfamiliar body. He never really liked being touched by strangers.

Headphones were secure around his ears to block out any and all unnecessary chatter. Gossips mattered very little to him.

He lets his tongue out to wet his almost dry lips, and he shoves his hands deeper inside his pockets. After that he hefts up his bag along his shoulders, and continues moving along to his aunt's house.

It's his first time in the city, since almost all his life he lived with his parents near the countryside. But then his parents got a much better work, and with it less time in the house. So his mother decided to let him live with his aunt who stayed in the city. Jimin was scared at first but knew better than to argue. After all, it gets pretty lonely in the house.

Directions and his music were the only things that guided him.

His phone buzzes in his pocket, and he takes his time in retrieving it from its confines.

Mom:
Have a safe trip sweetie
We love you!

It's enough to bring a slight smile to the boy's face, happy that his parents still cared.

Jimin:
Im here now mom
You and dad take care
of yourselves pls

Mom:
Thats good
Haha yes my child

Too engrossed in his music was he that he failed to notice he was standing in the middle of the road.

He only came back to reality when a loud blaring honk snapped him from his phone, eyes widening as he sees a huge truck barreling toward his direction.

His whole mind played back memories of his childhood, and he wanted to say sorry to his parents for not surviving the cruel world.

An involuntary gulp made its way to his throat, and it scared him that he was just standing there frozen, almost as if he was accepting his fate already.

But fate did not allow him.

His middle was suddenly tighter, and his feet left the ground as the passing vehicle flew by, its horn still blaring and mingling in the air.

When he came to his senses, the world back to its normal pace, he had to blink to remind himself he was somehow miraculously alive. His eyes dart around to land on a pair of deep brown orbs staring right at him intently. He jumped back in fright and shock.

"Wh-"

The boy took off Jimin's headphones. "Pabo," was all he said with a straight gaze.

Jimin fell into silence, stupefied and a little offended. His brows knit as he sits up straighter, body aching but he didn't care.

"What's the big idea?"

A small scowl and a furrow of the brows was the response from the unknown guy. He looked slightly intimidating, and his light brown hair sweeped over his forehead, swaying gently with the wind.
