The shifting of their belongings went off without a hitch .It took those three days to get everything situated between the two houses and a few things put into a storage unit. They were both getting used to the different furniture arrangement and being with each other more. They decided to bring Raven's couch to the house and put Jordan's in storage. She had a sectional so it could sit more people. . Raven was still having stomach issues .Jordan began to worry about her ,She was pale and was sleeping more .The mood swings were a bit much but thank God he grew up with sisters. He set up warm baths, back rubs, foot rubs, made her tea and got in a supply of crackers to hopefully settle her stomach. They had been so busy with the move they hadn't been intimate for well over a week and he was beginning to miss feeling his woman in that way. Hit his woman it was like it just dawned on him. He picked up the phone to call his mother .She hadn't met Raven yet and would pitch a huge bitch fit if he didn't introduce her to his beautiful sassy southern belle .Jordan had been contemplating when he would have family over to visit so they could meet each other . They still had some time off so they spent it watching movies and talking about their future. "So I'm going to post that video of you singing to my page on the newspaper website babe. I really think you could make a career of singing." she said from the kitchen. She was making her favorite meal, lasagna for Jordan. "That's fine sweetie but I'm not really that good." he responded. "Come and get it" Raven said as she sat the plates of food on the table. She didn't even have a chance to sit down before the nausea hit. She took off running to the bathroom and this time locked the door. She spent about five minutes in there while Jordan tried as hard as he could to get in. "Are you ok baby? Please talk to me or at least unlock the door." he pleaded. "I'm ok Jordan just give me a minute" she snapped. She got up from floor and flushed the toilet. "What the hell is going on with me?" she asked herself looking at her reflection in the mirror. She unlocked the door and went into the bedroom. She crawled in bed and snuggled herself up. Jordan followed her. He wrapped her in his arms and whispered "your stomach again? Do you think it could be an ulcer from stress?" "I'm not really sure but that sounds logical." she whispered back. "Just hold me baby" she barely got out the words before she fell asleep in Jordan's arms. He lay there thinking about Raven and her stomach issues. He hoped it wasn't serious. He was even thinking about making her a doctor's appointment but he fell asleep before he could plan it out. Raven woke up before Jordan and put on a pot of coffee. She stretched and smiled. She was surrounded by Jordan and nothing could make her happier. Jordan woke to the smell of coffee. He got up and found Raven standing at the sink dry heaving. "Ok babe that's it. You're going to the doctor." he told her. "Not today I'm not. We have an appointment to try on clothes for the banquet. It is this weekend after all." she stated matter of factly. Daring him to challenge her she ran to the bathroom and hurled again. It seemed they went to every dress shop in the greater Boston area until Raven finally found one at the last shop they stopped in that she liked. They walked into the dress department of the formal wear shop. Raven looked around for a few minutes before she saw it. It was a floor length red dress. Satin with a sheer layer over it. The neckline had little crystals around it. The cap sleeves also helped to keep it more formal. She instantly fell in love with it. She went and tried it on. She peeked around the door of the dressing room and spotted Jordan. She motioned for him to come over. Just as her walked up to the door she opened it to show him her dress. He was completely speechless. He let out an audible gasp which caught the attention of the saleswoman who gasped too. "You look... I... I have no words to describe the amount of beautiful you look in that dress." he stammered. It was a long flowing red dress with sparkles around the neckline. Cap sleeves for just a touch of modesty. She fell in love as soon as she saw it. When she tried it on Jordan knew it was perfect for her. They stopped by a tuxedo shop where he rented one for the night. The vest and tie color matched her gown. She told him she wasn't feeling too hot so he dropped her off at the house .He still had some errand to run and figured it would be best for her to get some rest. Shopping had really tired her out. He tucked her in bed with a kiss on her forehead and then her lips promised to bring dinner home and promised that he would be back soon. His first stop was to his mother's .She was excited to see him and had heard all about Raven and couldn't wait to meet her. She knew what he was there for and had it waiting ,She must be something special Marlene said as she seen the look of love in her youngest son's eyes as he talked about her .Thanks Mama he told her as he left to go to the jeweler to have the ring sized .It was an old family friend who told him that sizing it wouldn't take long .The ring was passed down through generations of the Knight family .First his great grandfather during world war 1,his grandfather during world war 2 his dad and now it was his to give to his southern belle if she'd have him .He smiled at the thought. It took a little longer than expected but the ring was finished that night. Jordan stopped and grabbed some Chinese food remembering that wonton soup was one of her favorites and thinking that the broth might sit well on her stomach. He drove home like a madman .Pulling in the driveway he saw the lights were on in the living room and kitchen. She must be awake he thought with a smile.
