Sorry it took so long to post another chapter, I just started University so I was a little occupied with that.

Also, I want to change the cover (my poor atempt at drawing ) to something nicer. But I don't know what to do so if you come up with any ideas feel free to comment.

And a chance she had. The young man seemed genuinely interested in her. They spent some more time together that same week, at his request. With each passing day, Marinette discovered the shy and compassionate side of Adrien. He was kind to others and tried to help almost as much as she did. She liked him more and more. It made her happy to see him smile. He was goofy and always tried to make her laugh.

She could often compare him to a ball of sunshine when he was around her. She would still think of Chat Noir from time to time and would see him on the rooftops at night following her to make sure she was safe, but he would never approach her. She missed spending time with him but she was often too occupied with Adrian to notice. It amazed her sometimes to see how much the two men were similar.

But she thought, if Adrian was Chat Noir why would he stay away from her, it didn't make sense.

A few months later, after spending some time together at the market and going on walks through town, Adrien decided to take Marinette to a more romantic location, to see how she felt about him and if he should court her romantically or if he should look for someone else to be his wife. So he went to her house to see her.

- Marinette there was a place I wanted to show you outside of town, but it's not too far away. Would you like to go?

- Yes certainly, I actually finished all my work today. Let me just grab a few things and change my dress.

When she came back she was wearing a light blue dress decorated with white lace. It was very pretty but not too fancy. They left walking, her holding on to his arm and discussing different subject along the way.

Adrien enjoyed talking with Marinette for she was more cultured than most other girls. On top of baking with her parents and designing her own dresses, she loved to read and spent a lot of time at the library. They got to the edge of the town and walked a little through the forest until they reached a small clearing crossed by a river. There was a lovely white bridge across the water and on the other side a great oak tree standing tall in the meadow. They sat there, their backs to the three, on a blanket Marinette had brought.

- This place looks enchanted. I've never been here before.

Marinette said.

- I used to come here with my parents to have picnics. I come to lie down on the grass when I wish to escape my father sometimes.

- So this is like your safe space, your own little corner of paradise? Why did you bring me here?

- Because I like to spend time with you and I thought this could be like our special place. What do you think?

He said, a little uncertain if it was to forward of him to have taken her here. Marinette blushed and rested her head on his shoulder.

- Yes, I would love for this to be our special place!

They stayed there a few more minutes just looking at the water flow. Until Adrien asked:

- Hey Marinette, you said at the ball that your parents would agree to an arranged marriage... would you really be ok with that? I mean you seem like a very independent girl.

- I don't know really; I think it depends on who that person would be. My mother had an arranged marriage and she is very happy with my father, but she did like him and knew him before they were married.

He picked a poppy and handed it to her, gently placing it in her hair behind her ear. She looked at him happily her cheeks a little rosy. He kept his hand there while looking into her eyes, before sliding it down to cup her face. He leaned forward slowly; analyzing her reaction, ready to pull away at any sign of discomfort, but all he saw on her face was happiness. She closed her eyes as he got closer. Both of their hearts beat fast filled with joy. Taking that as a sign of approval, he closed his eyes and kissed her gently on the lips. Slightly pulling away and resting his forehead on hers, he asked:

- And how do you feel about me? Do you like me?

Adrien was looking straight into her eyes, waiting impatiently for an answer.

- Yes, I like you very much, Adrien.

He loved the way she said his name. He kissed her again, this time more passionately, his other hand wrapping around her waist pulling her closer to him. Marinette had one hand on his chest and the other going through his hair as she enjoyed the kiss she wished would never stop. His lips were soft and sweet. When his tongue would run across her lower lip asking for permission to enter, it sent a tingling feeling down her spine. Marinette gave a small gasp when he started to nibble on her lip. Adrien tilted his head even more to deepen the kiss, his hands pulling her closer.

Now both Marinette's hands were in his golden curls, pulling him in more and more. Finally, she broke the kiss to gasp for air. The look in his eyes melted her heart; he was looking at her as if she was the most important thing in the world for him. Their long fiery kiss made the rest of the day feel like they were both floating on a cloud. In a matter of weeks, Adrien had managed to make her fall in love with him. But he didn't know that.

Truth be told, the young man couldn't be happier, the woman he loved was not only more amazing with each passing day, but she also liked him back. He wasn't sure if it was love yet but he couldn't care less. He finally felt at home. Finally, someone cared about him.
