Faith POV
I was packing up my guitar when I heard my name. I turned around and saw Tim standing there.
"Tim why are you here, in Nashville, now?" I said sitting down on the stage.
"My cousin is getting married, so I'm up here for that and his fiancée made plans for us to have dinner here tonight. I didn't know you had a gig here" he said awkwardly.
"There's a lot of things you don't know" I said snappier than I intended.
"I deserved that. You're an amazing songwriter, those songs were something else"
"Thanks. I write with some other people sometimes, other times it's just me at 4 am not being able to sleep." I said glancing across the room at Julia.
"Are they all about me?" He asked after an awkward silence. I bit my lip thinking of the best approach to answering the question.
"Most of them, it's easy to write about love in a small town, missing someone, old feelings, break ups, so yeah majority of the songs I write have influences of you in them" I said shrugging.
"That last one you sang...."
"Wrote it a few weeks after I moved here and we weren't talking nearly as much and like I said they were the three words that came to mind when I thought about the state our relationship."
"I'm sorry that I caused you to write such a painful song. What about the first song you sang tonight?"
"It's ok, there's been more painful ones written. I wrote it with my friend Julia after I ran into you at the cafe this morning.
"I have to know Faith, do you still love me?"
"I'm sorry but I just remembered I have somewhere to be" I said quickly standing up and grabbing my guitar before making my way out of the bluebird.
