| Elena's POV |
"You guys, I am freaking out!" I squeal while trying to decide what to wear.
Both Sky and Abby came over to help me pick an outfit for my first date with Ian. I can't believe he actually asked me out. It felt as though the entire universe stopped spinning when he said the words.
"You need to relax, Lena. You're going to be fine. It's just a date. You've known Ian for forever, so it's not like you're going out with a complete stranger." Abby says while tossing the skirt I picked out and handing me a pair of edgy, black skinny jeans.
"Really?" I sigh while holding the pair of jeans.
"Yes. You need to look irresistible!" Abby smirks.
"Sky?" I raise an eyebrow at her.
"You'll look great in them. Abby knows what she's talking about." She smiles as she adds some blush to her cheeks. She's leaving here to go hang out with Percy. I don't know if I like him yet or not, but he's really easy on the eyes so I can't entirely disapprove.
I roll my eyes, but put the skinny jeans on anyway. "What about for a top?" I question as I look through the heap of tops sprawled out on top of my queen-sized bed.
"Something hot." Abby comments.
"But not too hot. You don't want him thinking you're easy. Keep it classy." Skylar instructs.
"Why couldn't I just wear my light blue sundress?" I sigh while picking up a scarlet red tank top that had lace around the top half. I held it up to my friends and they both nodded. I pulled it on and then slid on my black cardigan to finish the outfit.
"Because, that's the kind of stuff you wear all the time. You want to dress special on dates. Keeps the man interested." Abby states while looking through my endless pairs of shoes, heels and sandals.
She finally settles on a pair of scarlet sandals, and hands them over to me. I slip them on and begin applying some minimal makeup.
"Thank you both for your help. This is kind of a big deal." I sheepishly smile after I finish applying a fresh coat of lip-gloss.
"No problem. I really have to go now, so Abby can you give me a ride home? I have to finish getting ready for my night with Percy." Skylar says while standing up.
"Sure. Leggo." Abby replies while leaning over to give me a hug. "Good luck Lena."
Skylar gives me a hug too before they both leave my room. "Thanks guys!" I shout.
Once I'm alone, I begin preparing myself for tonight.
It's just a date, Lena. Stop psyching yourself out.
Everything will be fine. Ian is a good guy.
I nod at myself in the mirror before grabbing my small bag and heading down stairs. I sit on the couch and flip through some channels while I wait for Ian to arrive.
God, I hope he really does like me.
