It's Thursday morning, and I am more than ready to put the images of last night out of my head for good.

Abby kept texting me during their movie about how sad James looked, but I tried my best not to feel bad about it. He spilled his drink on me and it didn't look like an accident from where I was sitting. I don't know if he had it planned, or if it really was an accident, but I just can't keep listening to James' excuses.

They get tiring to listen to after a while.

I finish my morning routine of brushing my teeth and adding a few fine curls to my already wavy hair, before heading down stairs. I have basic blue-jean skinny jeans on with a maroon red blouse that buttons up the front. I walked over to the door after grabbing my bag from the kitchen counter, and pulled on my black flats to finish the outfit.

"Bye mom! Will I see you later?" I shout towards the stairs.

"Not tonight, sweetie!"

"Love you, bye!" I shout before opening the front door and walking outside.

I frowned at my mom's response. I really need to pick a day that she is home and spend some time with her. College is right around the corner and I'm not sure if I will be staying local. I will be applying to a couple different colleges, one or two out of state. I need to make sure we make as many memories as we can before our time is up.

I almost feel sad when I hear no sign of James' ford, so I get into my own car and drive myself to school.

My mom gave me an extra couple of bucks, so I decided to stop first and get some Dunkin Donuts coffee. I am in love with their iced caramel macchiato.

Once I get to school, I see that James has not yet arrived, so I do the most respectful thing: I take his parking spot. I pull into his spot right up front and turn off my car. I get out and carry my bag and coffee with me as I go to find Abby and Lena. I see that literally everyone's eyes are on me as I exit my car, though I make it a mission to seem unbothered by it.

"Good morning ladies!" I chirp with a warm smile as they just stare at me wide-eyed.

"You do realize that James will crucify you?" Lena comments as she sips on her orange juice.

All I do is shrug as I take a seat beside Abby.

"Okay girl, but it's your funeral." Abby says with a smirk.

A few moments later, I hear the rumble of a familiar truck as it enters the parking lot. James stops right behind my car and I can't exactly see his face, but I know he recognizes whose car is in his spot.

I see his truck reverse quite a bit, before he finally pulls into the next available parking spot near the end of the lot.

The doors to the truck open and out comes both James and Ian. I see James eyeing the schoolyard until his gaze lands on me. I immediately put my head down and pretend to ignore him, though I can already feel that he is heading in my direction.

I glance up with my eyes only to see everyone watching him as he casually walks over to us. Abby and Lena put their heads down as well, and at the exact moment that James and Ian stop at our table, I lift my head up with a grin.
