About Last Night

Chapter Nine

Kahit walang masyadong tulog pinilit ko na gumayak para pumasok sa trabaho.

That was really a terrible night. I just hope that it will never happen again.

My boss have a lot of meeting to attend with me today so I have to work extra more energetic as possible.

I put concealer to hide the dark circles under my eyes. Good thing I enjoyed watching make up tutorials in youtube.

Bahagya akong nalate dahil sa traffic. Pagkarating ko sa opisina agad kung sinilip kung andun na ang boss ko.

"Thank God. Nauna pa din ako sa kanya." He hates it when I'm late.

But when I turn around he suddenly pop up in front of me. He really surprise me thats why my expression looks as if I saw a ghost. Napahawak ako sa dibdib ko. "Sorry Boss. Nagulat lang po ako. Good morning." Sabi ko

Nakabakas sa mukha nito ang amusement. "How are you? Did you sleep well?"

"Y...yeah. Thank you again Sir for last night." Sagot ko dito.

"No worries but you owe me one." Ngumiti lang ito at pumasok na sa kuwarto.

Around 11:30am we left at the office to meet a VIP client in The Lobby Peninsula Hotel.

Good thing that I still at my best look. Habang papunta kami sa meeting place, hindi ko maiwasang mapatingin sa aking boss habang nagmamaneho.

I cant deny it, he's having a damn gorgeous body. He is every inch of a man.

Then he caught me staring at him. "Pumasa ba ako?" Tanong nito.

"Sir?" Bigla akong nagising ng magsalita ito. Napahiya ako dahil sa ginawa kong pagmamasid.

"You're staring at me." He said.

"No. I'm not." Tanggi ko sabay baling ng tingin sa labas ng bintana.

"I have to ask you something that I'm really curious about." Sabi nito para muling bumalik ang tingin sa kanya.

Kumunot ang noo ko sa sinabi nito.

"Do you have a boyfriend?" Tanong nito na naging dahilan ng pamumula ko.

"I dont have." Maikli kong sagot.

"Lies." Sabi nito na halatang hindi naniniwala.

"That's true." Sagot ko dito.

"How come? I mean looking at you, you are really pretty and never expected that." Hindi ito kumbinsido sa sagot ko.

Biglang namula ang pisngi ko sa sinabi nito sakin.

"Okay. Let me rephrase it. Did you ever had a boyfriend." Ulit nito.

"Yeah. I had before but he left me." I tried to fake a smile.

"What a jerk." Napatingin ako sa kanya.

"Love is scary." Natatawa kong sagot dito.

"Dont be scared. Be strong enough to let go of the person that is not worthy of your love and accept those you deserve." Seryosong sagot nito.

"Sir. Ikaw ba talaga yan?" Tumatawa kong tukso dito. Totoo naman ang sinasabi nito. Kelangan ko ilet go yung nagiging dahilan para kalimutan ko na may mga tao pang pwedeng magmahal ng totoo sakin.
