Adrian was sitting on Magnus' couch, holding his head in his hands. How did things get so out of hands? Now Lucie was laying in a bed of one of Magnus' guest room, literally fading away. "What now? What happens?" The male rasped out, voice merely above a hoarse whisper. "I..." He furrowed his brows, eyes gaining a certain gloss. "I was sent to protect her and now..." He inhaled deeply. "It was my idea to come here and now, now she's dying."

A bitter chuckle escaped Jace's lips. "What now?" He echoed, crossing his arms over his chest. "Now we're going to focus on Clary. I don't know for you buddy, but your 'girlfriend' — cue air quotes with his fingers— is not our problem anymore."

The magician clenched his jaw, nostrils flared. "I swear I don't know what's stopping me from..." The Traveler stopped himself mid-sentence.

"From what?" Jace asked, narrowing his eyes. Adrian's fist was colliding with his face a second later. And while the blond saw it coming, he did absolutely nothing to stop it.

"I've been wanting to do that for a while now." Adrian admitted, moving his fingers to assess the pain. "Whatever it is that you feel, you deal with it. But that's not on me. And that's definitely not on her. We don't make the rules we follow. She didn't choose to have your memories erased. If you can't move past your heartache, just be gone."

A sigh escaped the lips of the warlock that had remained silent so far. "Adrian is right." Magnus intervened. "Whatever is happening to Lucie is happening to Clary too. They're linked. That much is obvious Jace. So we need to figure this out together. As a team. Put your grudges aside or get out of my flat. After all Clary is at the institute. With your sister. And, your brother." With a flick of the wrist, lacking the usual panache, Magnus opened a portal for a him.

Jace snarled, he was about to open his mouth when he saw Magnus' glare. He nodded and stepped through the said portal. He waited for it to close behind him before punching the nearest surface within his reach. It happened to be a goddamn wall. The blond punched it again. And again. A few punches slowly turned into a countless amount. "Jace..." A voice spoke, breaking him out of his pain induced daze. In a split second, Simon was before him, pinning him to the wall he'd been punching.

"Let go." The shadowhunter snarled, face merely a few inches from Simon. The vampire remained oddly silent, dark veins protruding from his eyes, as his fangs extended. "You..." For someone who wasn't supposed to breath, Simon was doing a lot of panting, Jace nodded, his lips curling into the tiniest smirk. He lifted the both of his hands ups, noticing that they were bleeding. He let the blood trickle down, until he could feel it on the tip of his fingers. Then, he brought his right hand to Simon's mouth, out of a sheer taste for self-destruction, selfishly seeking for the sweet release, followed by a delicious pain. He ran his bloodied index on Simon's bottom lip, his smirk widening as the vampire opened his mouth, revealing his fangs. "You're bleeding." Simon finally let out, voice low and raspy. Jace just smiled, far too pleased with that comment. That tipped Simon off. He hastily licked his bottom lip before shrieking a name : "ALEEEEC!" Jace let his head fall back, against the wall, knowing he'd lost.
