"Seelie portals are fucking unstable." Adrian said letting go of Jace's hand. The Traveler ran his fingers through his hair, gently combing them back into place.

"Where are we?" Alec asked, glancing around what seemed to be an expensive home office.

Simon glanced around, eyes widening with absolute awe. "Oh this is amazing." He said, running his hand along the imposing mahogany desk.

"You know where we are?" Isabelle asked.

"We're in Robert Queen's office." Simon replied, poking at the glass case protecting an impressive piece of Intertron.

"Stop it." Jace said, grabbing Simon's wrist. "We don't have time for you to fanboy Simon. Put your knowledge to good use and help us find the Traveler."

The Daylighter glanced up to Jace. Recognizing the fatigue in the blonde's gaze, he gave a short nod. "Alright." Simon said, rubbing his hands together. "Huh, you guys should probably activate your invisibility runes." He told the Shadowhunters, who nodded. The three siblings retrieved their steles and activated the runes with ease. "Magnus, you always look fine as hell, so you probably should be fine mixing in with the high society." The vampire explained. "Ah yes, I wasn't just fanboying. I was gathering informations. Right now, there's a gala happening downstairs, hosted by no other than the mayor Oliver Queen. There'll be an auction later on for this baby." He said, gently tapping the glass case. "Adrian and I will try to pass as friends of Thea, Oliver's sister. Magnus can just go as an auctioneer. Nobody would question it too much."

Adrian nodded. "That could work. And give us room to freely mingle and search for the Traveler."

"But what should we look for? How do we recognize a Traveler?" Isabelle asked.

"Just look for someone who isn't actually enjoying the party but surveilling things. Someone alone, probably with a drink in their hand or pretending to be bored, checking their watch often. Something like that." Adrian said. The three siblings nodded.

"Alright, let's do this." Simon said, heading towards the doors of the office. He still upon reaching the handle. "Someone's coming." He whispered.

Magnus chuckled. "Alright, I got this." He ran his fingers through his hair, unbuttoning a few buttons of his shirt and ran his thumb along his bottom lip, purposefully smudging his lipstick. The warlock then stepped out of the room, loudly closing it behind him. "Gentlemen." He said, upon seeing a blond with fairly long hair and an older, more muscular man beside him. "We had the same idea, didn't we?" He asked, laughing a little. "Sadly, my partner and I had it first. He should be decent in a couple of minutes." He added, casually crossing the distance between the blonde and his brunet acolyte and linking his arms in theirs. "Let's get back downstairs for now and I'll let you know as soon as he returns. Perhaps even introduce you to him, would you like that?" The warlock's voice died down as the two males allowed him to lead the way back downstairs.
