I woke up to the sun's rays beaming through the curtains of my window. I stretched my arms and legs, as I open my eyes, letting sleep go away for now. Another day it is, thank You. I find it odd smiling to another day.
Maybe it's about the success of last night.
I was beyond happy at the success of the first part of our mission. It's like, everything really went into place. I was truly thankful for having my friends in this wonderful journey of mine.
I also woke up to the smell of something, burning?!
I immediately ran downstairs to see what's going on in the kitchen in panic. I don't want the house to be on fire, you know. I mean, who even wants that. In the kitchen, I saw Park Chaeyoung's disappointed face as she offered something to me.
"Burnt toast?" She innocently said while she was taking a bite of it.
I laughed at her and took a bite of the burnt toast. It wasn't so bad though.
We chased each other in the kitchen like little kids. "Why do you have to make burnt toast at this time around?"
"It wasn't on purpose!" She said as she dodged my arm who was about to hit her and we continued to run around. "I was reading the manual but it was in Swedish language. So, it got overcooked."
I laughed at her once again and we began to slow down.
"Good morning, sleepyhead." She said and took a seat, gesturing for me to take a sit in front of her. Many food were already set up on top of the table. "Hope that burnt toast didn't ruin your morning?"
I shook my head. "No, not at all. Thank you for asking."
We enjoyed each others' company as the morning washed smiles on our faces. I began to get confused to why Rosè been so extra caring for me.
"Yah! You seem to be in a mom mode today?" I asked her and teasing her st the same time.
"Well, I wanted to be your mom for a day or something," Rosè said while munching her food. "Well, today's gonna be the last day with my dongsaeng."
"Oh," I said as I remembered that she's already going to Australia tomorrow. "Yeah, right."
"You know I'm sorry, right?" Rosè said, squeezing my hand. I nodded my head and didn't speak up for a couple of seconds because the atmosphere will become dense.
We washed the dishes together until she announced something.
"Go get ready, my dongsaeng. We have a good day ahead of us."
----
"Woah!" I said in amazement as we passed through the tunnel in this aquarium. It was filled with too many sea creatures and it was a pleasure seeing them again.
"Lisa-ya, watch out!" Rosè teased me as a stingray went over my head but then I remembered that we have a glass between them.
We chased each other again like little kids and we went around the aquarium for awhile, taking pictures in the process. We even got to feed the sea lions, which was super amazing.
I'm really going to miss spending time with this chipmunk.
"Lisa-ya! Look at this." Rosè pulled me to a certain area. "That one looks like Joo-hwang."
"Who the hell is that?" I said and she just smiled at me. "The pet fish that I have in Australia."
"Don't worry, my little Joo-hwang." Rosè talked to the fish as if it was really hers. "We'll meet each other soon."
I silently took a picture of her while talking to that fish because it was so damn cute. I hid my phone when she looked at me again.
"Can I meet him as well?" I spoke up all of a sudden and Chaeyoung looked at me in amazement.
"Yeah, of course, why not?" She said and her mood changed all of a sudden. "Maybe, some other time though. I'll be busy with my family's company if you'll come along with me tomorrow that I cannot handle you as my guest there."
"Sure, no problem." I said and we walked around the aquarium once again. "It's just that, you've met Leo and we even bought Leo together."
"Soon, we'll go to Australia together, my dongsaeng."
----
"Lalisa Manoban, I'm going to miss you." Chaeyoung said while munching some food that we bought while walking through the streets of Bangkok. We're now here sitting at a bench in Benchakiti Park.
I pulled out some tissue from my bag and wiped the mess at the corner of her mouth. "You've got something, just like an 아기 (ah-ghee/baby)."
"And I'm going to miss you too, Park Chaeyoung." I said and we hugged each other. It was all fun and games until I felt something wet on my shoulder.
"Yah! Such a crybaby, Chaeyoung-ah." I said but my tears betrayed me by falling at the same time as hers.
She was just sobbing and we looked like idiots at the park. "Take care in Australia, you little chipmunk. Arasso?"
"Ne," She said and kissed my cheek. "And you, take care here and goodluck with your inverted séance with Jennie-unnie. Don't overwork yourself as a photographer. Arasso?"
"Ne!" I said and kissed her cheek before hugging her again.
We spent each others' evening just by talking and spending our time wisely at the park and it had a fireworks display, what a lucky night for us.
While watching the fireworks display, we shockingly said something in unison.
"Saranghaeyo, Chaeyoung."
"Saranghaeyo, Lalisa."
We giggled like little kids as I placed my arms around her waist, and her arms on my shoulder.
"Nado saranghaeyo, Lisa."
"Nado saranghaeyo, Rosé."
We said in unison once again as we waited for the fireworks display to be done and we went home since it was getting late.
