The One

Chapter 1

"Are you excited for Senior Year?" asks Sarah. Sarah has been my best friend since freshman year.

"Sorry what? I wasn't paying attention to what you were saying" I say.

I just can't stop thinking about moving away from all my friends and my boyfriend. Sarah and Austin don't know yet.

"I was saying if you are excited for Senior Year?" Sarah asks again.

"Oh yea I guess," I reply still thinking about other things in my head. I can tell Sarah has giving up on talking.

"Austin!," I yell heading to hug my boyfriend who is just coming in the door. Austin and I have been together for 2 year now and I just love him.

"Hey gorgeous," says Austin hugging me tight while placing a kiss on my lips.

"You guys ready to party it up tonight?" Michael asks us.

"I'm ready to party it up!," yells Sarah.

Another party didn't we just had one few days ago. My parents will kill me if they see me get home again at 2 am.

Last time Michael threw a party he made me try weed. It didn't end up to well, I have never tried it before and I always said I wouldn't do it again.

So I got home and my mom was just getting home from her nurse shift. Guess what? She caught me but she didn't caught me with the weed scent.

Lucky for me my dad was asleep.

"You coming tonight right babe?" Austin asks me.

"Yea of course," I reply as I sit on his lap.

"Hey lets go or we will be late for the movie," says Michael as he walks to grab his car keys.

We all head to the movies to watch 21 jump street. I've heard its a great movie I hope so.

...

2 weeks later.

Austin left for a camp event so he won't be here till next week. I guess i'll stay home all week.

"Hand me the remote," says Riley as she sits in the couch. Did I mention I have an annoying old sister. Riley she's 19 and the girl hasn't left to college yet!

"Grab it yourself lazy butt, its right in front of you!," I reply pointing to the tv remote that is clearly in front of her face.

She finally stands to grab the remote. Luckily I just have 1 sister. Gosh I can verily stand her.

"Mom will be here soon so please get up and do some cleaning," says my dad standing from behind. He takes off his glasses and I can see his tired eyes. He is lawyer and he isn't home that often.

I will be the only one who will be cleaning because Riley hasn't stood up from the couch. She doesn't miss any episode of Pretty Little Liars & Ravenswood. I love those shows but I am not like Riley.

Door bell rings. I walk up to the door and open it. Oh well look who it is this will get Riley up from the couch.

"Come on in Jonah," I say loud enough for Riley to hear. Jonah is Riley's boyfriend they been together for 4 years now amazing! They are great for each other Jonah is a sweet smart guy, I have no idea why he choose this lazy girl such as Riley.

"Riley look who it is Jonah," I say staring at her.

"Jonah!," she screams as she opens her arms to hug him, but she is still laying on the couch. I guess he has to come to her. Ah that is my lazy sister.

Since I already washed the dishes and cleaned the kitchen I decide to make dinner. My mom works too long and comes home either at day or night and she is too tired to be doing chores. So I decided to make dinner this time.

When my mom finally arrives I set the table and call everyone to eat. Jonah joins us as well.

"It is nice to see you again," says my mom to Jonah as she fills her glass with water.

"Nice seeing you too Mrs.Brooks and thanks for having me," replies Jonah with a smile. Riley only keeps on eating her spaghetti.

"As you know Jonah the girls will be moving to California won't you miss Riley?" my dad asks Jonah.

"Yes sir, and that is why I applied to a 1 year college in California. For now of course," replies Jonah as he looks at my dad.

"That is great to hear, maybe you can in courage Riley to joining college soon," says my dad cracking a smile.

Everyone laughs except Riley. She always says she will join college but she is not ready yet. I actually haven't thought about college yet. I mean first I want to get Senior Year over with. Then i'll worry about college.

"This dinner was delicious," says my mom.

"Thanks," I reply. I am glad everyone liked my spaghetti. Now I can survive with spaghetti.

Its Thursday and I already miss Austin.

When will he come back!

I have texted him and called him and he won't answer none.

*Call me* I text him again.

Maybe he's just busy, because I know they do let them have phones there. Sarah also went to that camp & she has been texting me. I was sad that I didn't find out about that camp soon or else I would have went too.

Come on weekend come here by faster so I can see my boyfriend and best friend.

As I sit alone in my bed listening to music I take out my scrapbook. It is mostly pictures of me and Austin in all these pages.

Aw I love this one of Austin and me holding hands while he kisses my cheek. This picture was taken our this year, our Junior Year during homecoming. The picture has a big heart frame around, that reads I love you since the day I met you.

I haven't told Austin that I am moving far away. It is pretty far away from Washington to California its 20 hour drive. I will tell him soon just don't know when.

I still have 2 weeks till I move, its on the middle of June so at the beginning of July. I will be starting school in California so I won't be finishing my Senior Year here.

When I found out we were moving I almost died. Then my mom explained it wasn't forever it is temporarily so I relaxed a little more. But still it will be months without seeing my boyfriend and best friend.

"I'm coming in," says Riley standing in my door with some magazines in her hand.

"Riley sure come in," I reply as I scoot to make room for her to sit in my bed.

"I brought you some magazines to look at to take your mind of Blondie for a couple minutes," Says Riley laughing.

"Thanks," I reply as I hit her on the arm with a magazine.
