The One

Chapter 12

Its been 2 days, and there has been no sign of Harry. Eleanor invited me to a party tonight. I have no plans so ill go if Kendall goes with me.

"And don't forget this assignment is due Wednesday," Mrs. Brown says to the class, she is wearing a long blue skirt which is making her look way older. Love the skirt but it doesn't match for her.

"You coming tonight?"

"Yea," I reply with a smile painted on my lips.

"I'll se you there then," Zayn says to me. He leaves the room.

I roll up my construction paper and head to put it in my locker. As I approach my locker I see Jade by Harry's locker.

She stares at me as I open my locker. Does she have a problem with me or what!?

Jade opens Harry's locker then slams the locker door after and walks away. That girl needs a big punch.

I'll do my project on Monday, I really feel like I will get nothing done over the weekend, plus i'm almost done with it.

I close my locker and head to the parking lot. I walk to my car outside when Eleanor bumps into me.

"Hey Eleanor."

"Hey, could you give me a ride home? Sorry to bother you."

"Its ok, hop in," I say unlocking my car.

She gets in and I back out and head to her house.

"Sorry, I thought I was going to drive with Louis but he left early."

"Its fine don't worry."

"Thanks."

We reach her house and she thanks me again for giving her a ride.

"Ill see you tonight then?" Eleanor asks me.

"Yea," I reply. She waves good bye and I pull out of her drive way and drive off.

As I am about to turn the radio on I get a text from my mom.

*Where are you?*

*Driving home, just came to a friend's house, why?*

*They changed my shift tonight, so ill be all night at the hospital so don't wait up*

Yes!

*Ok yea don't worry, ill be home soon*

I lock my phone and turn the radio back on turning the volume up. I sing along to The Neighbourhood's song Sweater Weather, my favorite.

I grab my school bag and enter the house. I see Jonah and Riley kissing in the couch.

"Wow, I guess you guys are back," I say.

"We never broke up you moron," Riley says.

"You know I was being sarcastic right, I knew you two didn't broke up, moron."

"Leave us alone."

"Hey Ariana," Jonah says.

"Hey Jonah."

"Babe don't talk to her, she is leaving."

I don't want to be arguing with Riley so I keep walking. I go outside to the backyard and sit on the bench.

I take out my phone and call Kendall. She answers on the fourth ring.

"Hey, are you almost home?" I ask her.

"Not quite yet, about 2 more hours."

"Wow where you go then?"

"Sacramento."
