Healing ✔️ (Natsu x Reader)

Finally moving on

I've been together with Natsu about a month now and I have to admit I feel a lot better. I started hanging out with our friends again and I'm opening up. After the day with Laxus and Dwayne's voice telling me Natsu is the right one for me I've felt a lot better. I still feel the occasional pain when I see or hear something that makes me remember him but besides that I feel good. My depression has all but left me, I'm more active and I feel happy.

I got a restraining order on Laxus and Natsu makes sure to be by my side as much as possible in case he shows up again. But Laxus did get jail time for assault and battery, we just don't know how long he will be in jail for.

My grandma lets Natsu spend the night virtually anytime, always on weekends. Me and Natsu have messed around secretly and he's sure to carry condoms now. I find it kinda funny actually cause he doesn't look like the sexual type but man are looks deceiving. I'm happy he's mine though, I look at him and I just feel so happy. I see perfection in him and everything I could ever hope or wish for.

"Hello! Earth to Y/N! Are you there?!" I hear Levy's voice and it's dripping with amusement.

I snap out of my trance and look at her. "What?" I ask and she starts laughing

"You've been staring at Natsu for like 10 minutes straight with a dreamy far off look on your face!" She shouts in laughter.

I look at Natsu and he nods with a smile on his face and I blush bright red and bury my face in his chest to hide. This makes everyone laugh and me blush even more. Natsu just holds me while he's chuckling at the situation.

The bell rings and I sigh in relief that lunch was over. We head to our classes and get on with our day.

When school was over I headed to the front to meet Natsu as usual and see Lisanna talking to him again. I rush over and grab him and hug him tightly.

"Ugh. You again. Haven't you guys broken up yet?" Lisanna says with annoyance

"No and we never will! I love him to much!" I shout and suddenly people stop and stare

"Ha! You'll be sick of each other soon enough." She laughs

"Lisanna don't you dare try anything else! I'm finally happy and so is she. Why don't you just let us be?!" Natsu says angrily while holding me close

"Fine. I'll leave you guys alone. But don't think that means your lives will be perfect." Lisanna says in a 'whatever' tone and leaves

"She makes my blood boil." I growl.

"Mine to. I can't believe you shouted so loudly that you love me..." Natsu says with a big smile and I blush

"Well I do and I wanted her to understand that."

"I think everyone around us understands that now to." He chuckles and motions to the people staring at us.

I squeak and hide in his chest and he laughs. He leads me out of the school and taps my shoulder.

"We aren't in the school anymore. You can come out of hiding." He chuckles and I lift my head up and take a deep breath.

"Sorry. I got embarrassed being in front of all those people." I say in a low voice as we walk

"Don't worry about it. I'm just surprised that you announced it. I think now everyone knows I'm yours and your mine." Natsu smiles brightly and grabs my hand and holds it firmly.

We walk to my house and into my room with only a smile coming from my grandma. She's gotten used to Natsu coming over daily now and actually looks forward to it. She really likes him because he will actually sit there and listen to her ramble when he stays on the weekends.
