You were watching a movie in bed, the moonlight hitting your skin through the window. You took your headphones out, feeling your phone vibrate next to you. Now, who could be texting you this late at night? Who knows, literally anything is possible in this day and age. It was Gavin who texted you. A rose color dusted your cheeks as your unlocked your phone to respond. You had always had a crush on the cocky asshole, but you weren't really sure why. Yes, he was attractive, and the things he did sometimes were cute, but he kinda just insulted everyone around him. But you knew there was something behind the 'asshole' facade, something he didn't want to show to anyone. Well, anyone but you. He was softer and kinder to you in situations, and rarely he'd give you a genuine smile, filling your heart for the rest of the workday.

Gavin

Hey, come over I wanna show you something cool

(Y/N)

Gavin, what could possibly be so important that I need to come over at midnight?

Trust me

It's cool

you won't regret it :)

Fine, Gavin. I'll be over soon.

You closed your computer, swinging your legs over the edge, and heading towards the front door of your apartment. Slipping on some slipper boots and a dark blue sweater, you entered your car, turning it on and making your way to Gavin's apartment. What did he want this late at night? You didn't mind, you weren't doing anything anyways, but what did he want to show you? It must be important to him if he wanted to share it with anyone, especially you. It got you kinda excited for what it was, but maybe it was something weird. Or something happened? You brushed it off and only focused on the good thoughts right now.

Approaching his apartment door, you gave it a soft knock, hearing some shuffling noises coming from inside.  The door was opened, and there stood Gavin. He was wearing a shirt with some stars on it, some black sweatpants, and some cute silver rimmed circular glasses. "Oh, hey. Come in, follow me." You walked inside, and he closed the door behind you. You hadn't really been to his house very much, but it mainly looked as you thought inside your head. It was slightly messy, but not to the point that it bothered you. There was a calendar you both passed by, and one day, in particular, was heavily circled with red ink, and inside was written "FULL MOON" in messy handwriting. Full moon? Why would Gavin give a shit about a full moon? He leads you to this apartment patio, and there were a few chairs outside, but there was one thing the really stood out to you.

It was a telescope.

A telescope? Was this what he wanted to show you? He made you stand off to the side, as he looked through the eyepiece, and adjusted it ever so slightly. "Come here. Look." You do as he says, and you see the bright white moon, stars littered around it. "Holy fuck," You breathed out. "Gavin, this is beautiful! I've never actually seen the moon this close, wow!" You looked at him, a smile of amazement on your face. "I know, right? I recently got it, and it's like really good." He bursts with excitement and then reels it back when he finished talking. A light blush spreads across his face. Then his expression of expression turns to one of sadness almost. "I never really get to share this with anyone, mainly since I have this reputation to uphold, but it feels nice to share it with someone for once." You quickly noticed his face and hugged his torso. "You know you can talk to me about anything, right? If you have things to say, you can say them to me. I won't judge you." He hugs back, burying his face in your hair. You pull back and give him a soft smile, but all he does is give you a soft kiss on your lips. You were surprised at first, but then immediately melted into it, and kissed him back. His stubble tickled your face, making you giggle a small bit against his lips. You both pulled back, heavy blushes on your faces. "Can I talk to you more about space? I think you'd really like it." His happy expression returned to his face, and you gave him a quick peck on the lips. "Totally, but can we go inside? It's kinda cold out here." He nods and goes to pick up the telescope to presumably put inside.

Now, once a week at midnight, you go over to Gavin's house, to talk about whatever was on your minds at that time. It was mainly space though, as he tells you about planets and the constellations and what they mean. It was nice for both you and him, especially him, since he has so many things he needs to vent, but he can't because there's no one to vent to. These nights were sacred and always happened. It was amazing, and there was no place you'd rather be than with him.

But when did he get so into space?
