A/N: Also yeah, I did take the intro dialogue from vault 81 and put it into the previous part lmao

Enjoy!

"Can I come with you when you leave? Please?" You choked on some air and started coughing. You kept waving him off, saying you were fine, and eventually you were. "And why would you want to come with me, synth boy?" You spat. "It's too dangerous for someone of your specs  to be out in the Commonwealth, and I only help people in exchange for caps." You crossed your arms smugly. "And you look like you ain't got any. But of course, someone who's been in a vault for almost 200 years wouldn't even know what I'm talking about." His eyes widened at your last statement. "2... 200 years? Have we really been in here that long? And how long have you been alive? Obviously, someone of your well-being couldn't have been born in the Commonwealth... Could you have been?" You froze at his question. A wave of anxiety hit you, a sense of nausea claimed your stomach. "Actually I, uh-" A nervous laugh escaped your lips. "I've actually been alive since the bombs dropped. I'm technically 200 years old..." His eyes widened for a split second before a smile graced his lips. "Hm, I guess we're in the same boat then, huh? I was put in here when the bombs were being dropped, so I guess I am also technically 200 years old." You were having second thoughts about not bringing him and finally made a decision. "Alright. I like your style. You can come with me." His eyes lit up, as he started repeating 'Thank you" over, and over again. "It-It's fine. Do you know how to fight though? How to shoot a gun correctly, even?" Her words were genuine, and she was now actually concerned for the synth and how he would fare in the big bad wasteland. His excitement dialed back a bit, and he responded. "No, not really. But if you're willing to teach, I'm willing to learn." You weren't very happy about having to actually teach someone about the main basics of living in the Commonwealth, but you were happy that you wouldn't be alone anymore.

The Overseer, Kara, was very hesitant to let one of her fellow Vault Dwellers go, but she eventually let him leave when he explained that he was going on his own will, and you weren't forcing him in any way to go. Hearing the loud noise of Vault 78 closing, you both walked out into the lightly forested area. The sun was setting, and the sky was turning a beautiful pink-orange color. You weren't very impressed since you've seen it almost a million times, but Connor was the complete opposite. He was like a kid on Christmas finding more presents than he expected under the tree."Yeah, yeah, get it out now synth boy. It'll soon become a reminder of the awful place we all live in now." You put on your gas-mask, and now all that could be seen of your face were your (E/C) eyes. "I'm, uh, (Y/N) by the way. I never actually told you my name in there. Very surprising you still trust me up until this point. "And why is that?" He turns to face you, confusion very present of his face. "Because all I need to do," One of your hands makes its way to your gun, and you press the barrel of it against his forehead. "Is this." You imitate a gunshot and put it in his hands. He had quite a few emotions running through his little synth head, most of them being scared and nervous. "Take my pistol. I don't need it anymore since I got this  baby." You were referring to your Gatling Laser, that was demanded you leave outside of the Vault. You strapped it to your back and adjusted your messenger bag. It contained every important item you owned. Caps, ammo, Stimpaks, food, water, etc.

"Welp," You lifted up your left wrist to catch a glace of your Pip-boy's map. "I guess we should start heading to Diamond City, and then back to Sanctuary. I got some stuff to sell, and then I'll teach you some things." He nodded in response, and you both started walking towards your first destination. "Stay close to me, it'll be a lot more dangerous since it's almost dark. You aren't very protected in that suit of yours, so we'll have to find something more protective." You warned him. "Understood, (Y/N). Let's go to this 'Diamond City' place you talked about." You nodded back, as you both walked out into the radioactive forest, not knowing what would come in the near future.
