When everyone is gone and I've told everyone I love them, me and Patty decide we should probably start planning when we should go back to England.

Obviously after my moms funeral, which I don't want to plan right now. But of corse my aunt does.

"Carrie, can we talk?" My aunt Dian asks. I raise my eye brow and Patty pats my shoulder before going upstairs.

"What's up?" I ask sitting at the kitchen table.

"Well, i think we should start planning your mothers funeral. And the house arrangements since you'll be moving back here." She shrugs. My heart drops.

"What?" I stand slowly.

"I said we should plan your mother fun-"

"No after that." I correct.

"You'll be moving back to the states." She says slowly like I'm an idiot.

"Aunt Dian, I'm going back to England with Patty to live in the house." I explain.

"Oh, no no dear. You can't go live back there without an adult." She laughs.

"I am an adult. I'm not a child." I say heating quickly.

"You've just turned twenty." She pushes.

"Like two months ago." I snap.

"Don't speak to me that way young lady I will-"

"You'll what? Send me to my room? take away my phone? ground me? I'm a grown woman you can't treat me like a sixteen year old anymore. You're not my mother either. She died this morning and you think you an just push to take her spot?! Look, I'm going back to England with Patty and you can't stop me." I shout.

"Do not talk to me that way!" She snaps. "That boy is nothing but trouble! I tried to hide it but have you seen how he dresses? he would never be suitable for marriage." She scoffs.

"For God's sake! I've told everyone now, we aren't getting married anytime soon!" I shout.

"I said he would NEVER be suitable for marriage." She hisses.

"That's it." I snap. "No body is going to talk about Patty that way!"

I stomp off and up the stairs.

"Get back here! I'm not done with you!" she screams.

"I'm done with you!" I yell down the stairs. I go into my room and throw my things into my suitcase. I walk across he hall to Patty's room.

"Uh, you alright?" He asks obviously flustered by the back and forth screaming between my Aunt and I.

"Pack up. We're leaving right now." I command. Patty stands and puts his things away studying me all the time.

We walk down the stairs and Patty takes my things to the car. I tell him I'm going to try to calm the waters a little.

I see Jamie sticking her head out her door. I calm myself a little and walk toward her.

"Hey. How much did you hear?" I ask.

"Every bit. I was in the living room." She shrugs. Noah's head pops into view from under her arm. "I let him hang out with me when mom's steamed." She explains.

I smile. "Your gonna be an awesome mom. But don't let anyone tell you when to become one." I tell her. She nods. "I need to get out of here." I tell her shortly.

I kiss both Jamie and Noah on the forehead.

"Bye guys. Come see me in England if I don't see you before I leave." I smile and kiss their heads again.

I go down stairs and into the kitchen. Dian is facing away from me washing the dishes.

"We're leaving aunt Dian." I tell her with a solemn face.

"Where are you going?" She asks, disgust clear in her voice. She doesn't even turn to me before saying, "Some motel. The boy doesn't have money for anywhere else."

"For your information Patty is a musician and owns a house back in England with his two best friends." I say through gritted teeth. She turns slowly. "He is extremely successful and plays music all over the world."

"So if you ever marry this boy he'll never be home?" She says.

"For the second time we aren't getting married any time soon. We haven't even spoken of it."

"So you waisting your time with a boy who only wants to date his entire, he probably would never settle down. He will always jump from girl to girl. He will say he loves them and leave. He probably doesn't even love you if he's told you." She spits.

"That tares it! Patty does love me and I love him. And maybe we will get married, and maybe we will have kids. But you will not be there, because I don't like to brag unlike you! So maybe one day I will say 'I do', to mister Patrick Walters and we will get a home and rase a family. And you will be here sulking like a petty old woman who never learned to live her own life because she digs into everyone else's!" I scream. I walk out the door slamming it behind me. Patty furrows his eye brows at my cherry red face.

"You will not speak to me that way!" Aunt Dian shouts behind me. "He does not love you, your such a naive child!"

Party's expressions fade into a mix of confusion and anger.

"You probably right." I shrug from across the lawn.

"Carrie?" I hear Patty's voice behind me. It sounds so broken I want to cry.

I turn around walking toward him with confidence. I wrap my hands around the back of his neck and connect our lips hungrily.

Patty's body responds almost immediately, his hands moving around my waist, and his lips dancing with mine.

My aunt gasps from behind me and I know I've won.

"Let's go." I breath, disconnecting from him.

"Don't you dare!" my aunt says, but she doesn't move.

I roll my eyes and hop into the car with Patty. The car rolls away.

"Holy shit." The driver breaths.

Suddenly I realize my surroundings. This isn't a cab, and Patty isn't driving either. I look up in the front seat and there is a very confused, and scared, Jameson.

"Jameson?" I ask.

"Uh, yeah I thought we might need a quick get away." Patty says.

"Good call bro." Jameson says with a stale laugh. "You two are lucky my mom and I came here in different cars and I wasn't home yet when you called."

"I can't believe I just did that."i breath sinking in my seat.

"Me either." Jameson says looking at me in the rearview mirror. "Especially with Aunt Dian. But believe me, I knew you had it in you." He chuckles.

"I didn't." Patty says with a hint of a smile on his lips.

"I'm gonna try to get some sleep on the way back to your place." I tell Jameson.

"Okay." He answers.

I lay my head on Patty's lap and spread my legs out across the back seat of Jameson's Explorer.

"You fucking scared me back there." Patty whispers.

"Why?" I ask.

"You just- when you agreed with you Aunt my heart just kinda, dropped and shattered a bit." He breaths staring blankly.

I sit up and look up to Jameson who has the music up loud and is paying attention to the road.

I lean in and once again, kiss Patty like he was the sleep that I needed. The kiss is passionate and it seems to relax Patty a bit. I pull and away and press my forehead to his.

"Hey," I say making him look at me, "I know you love me. Because I love you just as much. And I always will." I say kissing him again.

I lay my head back in his lap. He smiles down at me and plays with hair hair. My eyes slowly get heavier, and heavier till they're closed. And I finally get 3 days worth of sleeps.
