Breezy Love ✨

Bare feet dangling against the brick wall,
My hands icy and numb,
Without any reason, I let go of my woolen shawl,
From the house nearby, odor of burnt food has come,

Up in the sky, down on the earth,
moon and I, we are both alone,
a cold breeze blows from north,
the chill, the frost, I blissfully own,

As the wind blew my hair,
a smile crept upon my lips,
he was like a warm Spring breeze, contrary to this air,
Remembering his touch, I look down at my rosy fingertips,

He thawed every frozen cell, vein, organ and gland,
my flesh absorbed his warmth,
like water into thirsty sand,
from a wilting flower to a bouquet, I transformed,

Oh in mere moments of ecstasy,
my soul, my heart, my being was captivated,
he was my daydream, my fairytale, my fantasy,
for all the missing pieces, his smile compensated,

Too drunk, too high, too lost in the sweet fragrance of his perfume,
I didn’t realize the temporariness of the gust of wind,
It is supposed to give you a moment of relief and then leave the room,
and you are left baffled, wishing for just one chance to rewind,

As the breeze of his love went past me,
I am stuck in a whirlwind of emotions,
He was a fleeting moment from which I can't flee,
But I still crave for another gust of wind, another drop from his ocean,

My eyes now sting with hot tears,
just how my heart stings with longing,
Today it has been three years,
and it still says “The number you've dialed, is not responding”
