I have a friend, I guess,
He told me I should stop talking to her,
Even though childhood friends we were,I have a friend, I guess,
He told me extra fat didn't look good,
Starve to look better, I should,I have a friend, I guess,
He gets me all the expensive means of painting my face,
He said, look exotic or no one will chase,I have a friend, I guess,
He burnt my pieces of writing,
Told me to acquire some talent that's at least a bit exciting,I have a friend, I guess,
He says, my words and my thoughts are never enough,
If I become emotional, everyone will be fed up,I have a friend, I am not sure,
There's no one else, he's all I have left now,
Because to let anyone else stay, he'd never allow,I have a friend, I am afraid,
He took away every remedy, in the name of aid,
With his every word, every suggestion, everyday, a part of me fades.-A/N
Heya, so yeah I tried adding a bit of style. Idk if it sucks, but I just like it this way. I underlined the rhyming words or close rhymes (It takes effort to rhyme I swear) so help you build rhythm, the rest is up to your interpretation. The poem is okayish, I know but I wanted to let out the idea before I forgot about it.
Realize who is a toxic friend and kick them out! You deserve better.
