The clatter of a tray being dropped onto the table startled you, making you look up at the girl who'd dropped it. Nayeon was almost steaming, face red and eyes flaming.
"Love is fake and I hate people." Jeongyeon beside you leaned forward, raising her eyebrows, while you leaned away, watching Nayeon warily.
"What is it now?" Jeongyeon asked, obviously entertained. Nayeon huffed and sat down, shaking her head.
"So apparently Jennie was getting all up close and personal with that new girl Jisoo."
"Didn't you guys break up already?" You asked, eyebrows raised. You'd been hearing about Nayeon's relationship problems for a while now, and honestly, you were kind of lost. Nayeon huffed and stabbed at her salad.
"Well, technically, yeah. But she was just texting me. Like, apologizing and saying we should get back together and stuff." She glared at the lettuce on her fork. "Fuck love."
"Who needs tv when we have you," Jeongyeon said, grinning. Nayeon gave her the finger, but it just made her laugh. Jihyo, you'd just joined the table with the rest of the group, gave them both a disapproving look. Everyone else, however, seemed intrigued.
"So what are you going to do about it?" Sana asked, inching forward in her seat. Nayeon shrugged, looking down at her plate.
"I don't know."
"You know, I think she'd just trying to make you jealous," Momo pointed out. Everyone nodded, agreeing, and Nayeon glanced around the table.
"Really?"
"Yeah, for sure."
"So, you know, two can play that game," Dahyun said, grinning.
"What do you mean?" Nayeon's question made Tzuyu roll her eyes.
"What she means is that you should make Jennie jealous in return, dumbass." Nayeon glared at her.
"How am I going to do that, though? It's not like I have people lining up to date me."
"Just fake date," Tzuyu said like it was obvious, leaning into Jihyo. Sana's eyes lit up.
"That's such a great idea!" Her statement caused Dahyun to give her a look, narrowing her eyes.
