You weren't entirely sure how you were going to get yourself out of this one. You had a test in a half hour and were trapped in a cage listening to yet another overdone speech about how "evil is always going to overcome good" and "it'd be best to just admit defeat now". You weren't really sure why villains always felt the need to make speeches like these when the fight wasn't even entirely over.As you were running through the possible options of how to get out of the cage, the villain was knocked to the ground. After a very impressive (and possibly show-offish) series of flips, your partner Hawk Cat landed on the ground in front of you, sending you the usual grin and wink.
"It's about time you showed up," you said, crawling out of your cage after she had slashed through the bars.
"It's nice to see you, too, love," she said. "No need to thank me."
"Wasn't planning on it."
You were more than a little used to her constant flirting so it no longer phased you. If anything, it was getting just a tad bit old.
As the villain lifted themselves back up onto their feet, you and Hawk Cat exchanged a slight nod. Even though your partnership had started out as being purely coincidental, the two of you had a great fighting chemistry. Without either of you saying it, you know that she would go high and you would go low.
Springing into the air, she landed flawlessly on the villain's shoulders, throwing them off guard long enough for you to slid in and disarm them. Hawk Cat jumped back down to the ground and, using your lasso, you tied the villain up, bringing them onto their knees just as the swirl of police sirens became audible in the distance.
The beeping coming from the watch on your wrist let you know that not only were you running out of time to hold your disguise but you were also going to be late for your test.
As the police were making their arrest, Hawk Cat turned to you with a smug smile.
"One of these days you're going to have to buy me a meal to make up for always saving you," she teased, wiggling her eyebrows behind the thin dark mask she wore over her eyes. You scoffed and rolled your eyes, giving her a pat on the back.
"Maybe one day but, for now, I gotta run!"

"I totally failed..." you whined to your friend Chaeyoung as the two of you were walking out of your math class.
"Hey," she said, "just be glad you made it on time. Whatever you made is definitely better than the automatic zero you would've gotten for being late."
Chaeyoung gave your arm a reassuring squeeze and the two of you started heading towards the cafeteria. All you wanted was some pizza or something else bad for you to make you forget the fact that math was actually the worst thing in the world.
