The football game had finally come to an end and the Western Webster Eagles won, which was the team Remi and her new friends were rooting for. "Are you ready to go see your folks, Rem?" Winter asked with an excited tone to her voice. Arlo glanced at her with a disappointed look and Shiloh hopped over the fence. He ran up the bleacher steps and had a grin plastered on his face, his helmet hanging on the fence so it wouldn't weigh him down.

Remi glanced down at their feet, unsure of what to do next. She felt arms wrap around her, they were warm and protective, "Let's go see your dad," Shiloh said calmly in her ear. She nodded as tears began to fall again. She had a strange feeling that when she got there, things would change and it wasn't for the good.

Remi and her friends headed to Shiloh's SUV so they could get to the hospital as soon as they could. Shiloh opened the passenger side door for Remi and Winter and Arlo hopped in the back. "You two behave back there. I don't wanna see any dirty things going on," Shiloh commented with a chuckle.

Remi noticed Arlo wink at Winter, "Don't you worry, Shi. We won't do a thing back here," Arlo smirked and tickled Winter at her sides. Remi smiled a little and got into the car, looking at Shiloh with a worried look. He just gave her an encouraging smile and a kiss on her forehead again. It made her heart flutter, and butterflies formed in her stomach. Her stomach churned with nerves, but they were positive.

"He will be alright, Remi," Shiloh told her softly. Remi heard Arlo and Winter make fake gagging sounds and Shiloh glared at them. Remi didn't realize he was at his side of the car, she was too much in a daze after Shiloh's lips touched her forehead for the second time that night to realize anything that was going on around her. "Ready to go?"

"We've been ready for the past twenty minutes, Shiloh. You're the one taking really long," Arlo remarked sarcastically. Shiloh rolled his eyes and started the car. Remi glanced over to where his hand landed after he put the vehicle into drive, his hand on her own that rested on her left knee. She could feel the electricity running between them through her whole body.

The car ride to the hospital was silent after that. Remi heard small sounds coming from in back, but she ignored them, her mind lingering on her father and the hospital. She was worried about going, since she had a bad experience there about ten years prior. Remi felt a tap on her shoulder and she almost jumped out of her skin, bringing her back to the present. "You alright? We are here. Do you know what room your dad is in?" Shiloh asked.

Remi avoided eye contact, looking at the large building in front of them. She dug through her texts from her mom, remembering that she gave her the room number. "He's in room K1272." She responded softly, turning her phone screen black. She unbuckled her seatbelt and left the vehicle, the others followed.

"Do you know where we are going?" Arlo asked.

Remi just gave a sharp nod as they walked through the front doors. She observed everyone who glanced at her, every staff member, every patient and every visitor, none of them would look her in the eye. "You three want death wishes? 'cause that's what you'll get hanging out with that monster," a patient commented. Remi had recognised him, the man had been in and out of the hospital for years.

"What is he talking about, Rem?" Winter asked, her voice was shaky. She ignored the question and just continued on towards their destination. The only people she wanted to see was her father, mother and her father's doctor.

The four of them took turns and walked down halls for ever it seemed like to Arlo, Shiloh, and Winter, but to Remi it was seconds. They got in the elevator to go to the right floor and Arlo broke the silence, "Remi, why won't anyone look at you here?"

Remi glanced at him, shaking her head, "That's for me to know, and you three to never find out..." she growled. Her attitude changed in a split second. She saw two small shadows that resembled her shifts and glanced at the others in the small space, seeing if they noticed them.

"What are those?" Shiloh asked, his voice shaky. Arlo raised a brow, looking at Shiloh confused. Winter looked in the direction that Shiloh was looking in and she couldn't see them.

"They're plushies. You can't be afraid of stuffed beasts. Come on," Remi laughed and the man next to her shivered in his shoes.

Arlo and Winter questioned everything, "What are you talking about? I don't see plushies or anything near Remi," they mentioned.

"He can see us, because he hasn't stood up to his monster yet. The other two have. The man next to you, he's just scared of you," the Somber smirked. The Lucent poked him with her antlers in his side, scolding him. "So uncalled for, Luc."

"That wasn't uncalled for, Som. Can you just shut up and not draw attention to yourself? She's trying to hide the fact that we are her Lucent and Somber, stupid," the Lucent growled.

Shiloh looked at the two beings and back to Remi, "You still have them too?" He asked, calmer now.

Remi grew stiff and realized what he was asking. She relaxed a little and nodded, blushing softly, "I do. You too?"

Shiloh nodded and got closer to her for comfort, "They look like mine. I've never heard of anyone having the same monsters as someone else. Maybe that means we are meant to be," he said softly. He looked over to her and saw a golden aura around her, not really knowing what it meant.

"Yeah...maybe..." She replied, chewing the inside of her bottom lip. She continually looked at the elevator number and they were almost to the twelfth floor.

Once the elevator got to the right floor, the man ran out yelling, "Get me out of here!" the three teens looked at Remi and she shrugged.

"Not sure what his problem is," she chuckled and they left the elevator shortly after the man. They found Mr. Owens room quickly and Remi's mother sat beside him, clutching his hand gently with tears in her eyes. He was hooked up to oxygen from all the blood loss and he was bandaged up on most of his body.

Shiloh, Arlo and Winter stared through the window and looked to Remi, who seemed to be stable on the outside, but in the inside she was being torn apart, "Remi, are you going to go in?" Arlo asked softly.

Mrs. Owens looked up from her husband and noticed Remi seemed calm, "Kids, get in here. She won't step foot in here, not yet at least," she instructed. The three of them rushed in the room and Shiloh looked back at Remi, who fell to her knees.

"I can't leave her out there alone," Shiloh protested and left the room, shutting the door behind him.

"Shiloh!"

Patients and staff scrambled back to either their rooms or into a room, frightened of what may happen next, "You really do have a death wish, don't you kid," a voice spoke.

"She's hurting, I can't leave her alone," Shiloh snarled, fists clenched. He turned around to see a dark figure, a large dark figure behind them. His eyes almost popped out of his head, but stood his ground. "Leave her alone!"

"Get out of here, Shiloh. I don't want to hurt you too," Remi said softly, standing up. She stared down the large Somber that was in front of them, snarling at it.

The Somber grinned, "Why don't we put him to sleep too, just like I did your father?"

She growled, "Don't you dare touch him!" She looked to Shiloh with pleading eyes, "Please, just go back in my father's room."

Shiloh wanted to object, but he didn't, "Please promise me you'll be safe," he said, with his hand on the door knob.

"I will," she replied, glancing to her mother. Mrs. Owens gave a sharp nod and shut the blinds, so none of them could see what she was about to do. Once Shiloh got in the room, Remi tried to shift, during the middle of the night. "You hurt my father, now I'm going to hurt you!" She screamed at the Somber.
