Chaz's POV
"Gracie?" Heading into the kitchen I pull out a water bottle and down half of it before placing it on the counter. I haven't seen her for most of the day besides her working with King for about two hours before her disappearing again. "Gracie, you home" I yell out.
"Yeah, give me a second then come here" she shouts back from upstairs. "Should I be worried" I ask. "Nope." I wash my hands in the sink and run a wet paper towel over my face and neck trying to remove any dirt of sweat from today's work.
Heading upstairs I go straight to our bedroom to notice she isn't there. Scratching the top of my head I turn hearing a noise from the room over. The one that I always had as a spare bedroom. I wrap my knuckles on the door, "Gracie."
"One second" she yells. A hear a couple more noises before she open the door enough for her to squeeze through then closes it again. I lean against the apposing wall. "What are you doing in there" I ask curiously with my arms crossed over my chest. She gives a sheepish smile, "It's a surprise!" She claps her hands together and grins with excitement.
"When do I get to see this surprise" I ask as I push off the wall and move to open the door. Gracie steps in front shielding the door from me. "Okay, I can show you now, but you have to promise me something first" she says with hope clear in her request.
I nod, "And what is this promise?" She takes my hands in hers, "Promise to keep an open mind." I raise my brow at her. "Also not to get angry" she mumbles. "Of course Gracie" I smile encouragingly. "Close your eyes." She leans forward and pecks the corner of my lips before taking one hand from mine to open the door. I do as instructed, closing my eyes, and letting her lead me into the room.
"Okay, you can look" she announces. I slowly open my eyes to see that there is a crib halfway put together. A box that shows a picture of a dresser with changing station. I continue to look around noticing paint lines of different colors that she was clearly seeing what color she liked better. "What do you think" she asks. Looking back at her I feel slightly confused, "You want to have a baby?"
She walks over to a end table where she pushed the old furniture and picks up a folder. She hands it over to me. She gestures for me to open it. I open it and pull out a little paper from the folder. Its an ultrasound.
"I'm pregnant Chaz. We are going to have a baby." I look at her then the picture and repeat. "Chaz" I can hear the nerves in her voice. I drop the folder and walk towards her and she takes a step back with wide eyes. I wrap my arms around her and swing her around the room. She bursts out laughing at my reaction. I put her down and kiss her.
"So does this mean you happy?" I chuckle, "Happy. Ecstatic. Grateful. To many words I could use" I peck her nose. "When did you find out" I ask. She shrugs sheepishly, "A week ago."
