So, you thought it was over?
Dust and fallen buildings and your favourite colour grey,
But wait a minute let's take a look back at the time it began,
We held hands, we were best friends,
You showed me a garden of daisies,
Well, did you think I didn't notice the thorns you were hiding,
They say that destiny does it work with perfection,
I say that your destiny was in my hands from the beginning,
The first time when you threw me from the window and the car chase began,
I knew that I'm gonna enjoy this oh so much more than long drives to the beach,
Our snuggles were us trying to strangle the other to death,
We chased each other's shadows,
Red signals and sirens, you knew I'd come after you,
Because this ends when one of us goes,
And it has to be you, I'm not scared of you,
I befriended you, I know what you don't have,
You love the darkness but when I came at you like a fireball you lost,
You thought that I collapsed with your empire, that went down in flames,
All that was left was broken pieces of your monument you built,
But when I came out of the dust brushing off your remains that were left on me,
Something died inside you, that kept you going,
It was my weakness that gave you power,
It was gone, your grey sky turned to my colour,
The colour of freedom,
I've been your friend and your enemy,
But looking back now, I miss you,
You kept me going,
Now all I do is wait for a worthy foe,
But I guess you won't return for revenge will you?
