Noelle
"I really hope you and Luke work things out." My mom said as she hugged me goodbye.
"Yea, sure thing ma." I let go of her and smiled. "Come on Eli!" I yelled, taking my things and Luna out to the car. He waltzed out about three minutes later and got in.
"Since we couldn't talk about it around mom, how did the other night with Luke go? I heard you guys yelling." He asked as we proceeded home.
"He kissed me, told me he wanted another chance and that he still loves me." I briefed the story and he laughed loudly.
"He really thinks you'll take him back?"
"That's what I said."
"I couldn't believe you took him back when he broke your arm, I wanted to kill him for that." He said with spite in his voice. I cleared my throat, thinking back to the memory of that happening."He was drunk, it was an accident. He apologized for it afterwards." I muttered, defending him. We drove the rest of the way home in mostly silence.
"What are you doing for new years?" He asked me quietly.
"I'm probably gonna go out to Wilsons. I think I might take my old job back too, they want me to." I told him.
"I think that would be good for you."We soon got to his place and he hugged me goodbye and I was on my way home. I pulled up to my house and saw Ashton walking back down to his, thinking he must have been seeing if I was home yet.
"Ashton!" I yelled excitedly, jumping out of my car and running to him, engulfing him in a hug.
"Hey Noey." He whispered calmly, kissing the top of my head as he held me tightly.
"What are you doing tomorrow night?" I asked him as he walked back to my car, petting Luna as I opened up the car door to let her out.
"I think me and the guys are gonna go bar hopping. You wanna come?" He asked, grabbing my bags and carrying them inside for me.
"No that's okay. I don't really like any other bar but Wilsons, I know it sounds weird but I get uncomfortable every time I go to a different one." I explained to him.
"Maybe I'll see you there then." He smiled as I wrapped my arms around his neck, looking up at him.
"You don't know how much I missed you." I smiled, brushing the hair from his face.
"I missed you too." He smiled back, kissing my forehead.I filled Lunas food bowl and water before going outside to wait for my Uber. I waited patiently, smiling and waving to Ashton as him and his friends walked past my house. He smiled back and waved, continuing on his way. I sent him a quick text, letting him know how good he looked tonight and got pretty much the same response along with him telling me to be safe tonight. My Uber finally got here and I was on my way to get shit faced. From the moment walking in, I had guys coming up to me asking to dance, which I politely declined all.
"Hi Penny." I chimed as I sat at the bar.
"Shes back! You gonna finally take me up on that offer." She asked with a smile.
"Get me a drink and we'll talk about it." I laughed.
"What'll you be having?" She asked me, setting up a glass. I pursed my lips and thought about it for a second.
"Just a shot of gin, then go get Ruby so I can fill out the app." I said causing her to smile big.
"You got it mamas.""Theres my favorite girl." Ruby cooed as she reached across the bar, hugging me. "Penny tells me you're gonna come back to us?" I nodded and she placed her hands together like she just did a prayer.
"Just feel free to jump back here and get right in, we'll deal with paperwork tomorrow and I'll pay you in cash for tonight." She said to which I hopped over the counter, putting on the apron Penny threw to me.
"We all missed you." She smiled, nudging my hip with hers."What can I get for you." I asked the group of girls, wiping my hands on the rag.
"Can we do four shots of tequila." One girl called before pausing. "No five sorry. Noelle?"
"Avery." I did my best to fake smile as I began setting up their shots.
"Hey, I never got the chance to apologize for what happened between us." She commented as she handed me the money. I huffed and looked at her.
"Don't even do that. I don't want an apology from you. I'm over it. Just leave it at that." I told her, giving her the change. "Have a great night." I said to her, turning away and going to the other end of the bar.
