In a Funk

Raegan had went back to Lexington on Sunday, and here it was Wednesday and I hadn't left the house.  Two weeks just her and I felt like a dream, I'd finally fallen in love again, which I never thought it would happen again after Amber or Jana.  I was slated to plat RWB in a few weeks, that was the kick off for the fall tour, and the only thing I had before that was filiming a Turkey hunting video for Backwoods Life with Michael.  Even though I'd talked to her every day, I missed her like crazy.

"What's up asshole?" Kolby exclaimed walking through the door then flooping down on thr couch. "You look like hell man, don't tell me she broke up with you"

"Nah, she didn't. Just isn't the same without her here.  Took her down to Lake Sinclair before she went home, I told her I loved her Kolby."  His eyes were as big as saucers "she tell you to fuck off?" He asked trying to keep a straight face. I picked up a water bottle and launched it at him, hitting him square in the nose. "No, dickhead, she told me she loved me too." "C'mon bro, get you outta this funk, we are going to the field to hit some balls, then mama expects us over for dinner tonight. C'mon lazy ass get up!"

Kolby was right, I needed to get outta the house.  After I dressed in some Under Armour shorts and sleeveless tee we hopped in his truck and headed to the field.  Thank God this field was usually deserted unless there was a game or practice, but being that school was in session we wouldn't have to field any questions, I just wasn't ready for all that. 

"So, how long til you see her again man?" Kolby asked as he tossed me a ball from the bag.  Tossing it up in the air then hitting it with the bat full swing "we got a few weeks until the show in Lexington, that's the next time we both decided unless I got up there.  But I got that BWL episode I have to film with Michael before I go to KY."

"So, bro, she got a sister?" He asked driving a ball down center. "Really man? But no, she's an only child.  Her best friend Sara, is single though." I replied.  "Hmmm...looks like little bro is gonna be making a trip to KY with you" he chuckled driving another ball down the sideline.  Shaking my head then tossing a ball up then hitting a pop fly I replied "you are horrible little bro," "yeah, well it keeps things interesting" he replied. 

My phone started ringing with a Facetime call from Raegan, my mood instantly did a 360. "Hey baby!" She exlaimed the minute the video call connected and I tried to not smile like a schoolgirl but it wasn't working. Kolby came up and stole the phone  and started in with the whole asking about Sara, thankfully she was there so he could "see" her so I could have my girlfriend back after they exchanged numbers.  I wasn't keen on the whole dating best friends thing, but whatever. Kolby had been in a funk too for awhile, he was hoing up to Kentucky with me so we could have some bro time as he called it, and so he could meet Sara.

The next two weeks were spent trying to keep myself busy, writing, recording, going down to the farm in Alabama, and hunting and filming a couple episodes for BWL.  Even though Raegan and I talked daily, jt wasn't the same.  I needed her witg me, distance wasn't something I did well with, maybe it was the caveman in me and needing to know where my woman was at all times, or because Jana and Amber both caused me to have trust issues since evidently my dick wasn't enough for them when I was out on the road.  Raegan was different, she never gave me a.reaaon to doubt her, Jana and Amber I always had to sleep with one eye open. 

Kolby thought it'd be a good idea to leave a day early for RWB so we could see "our women" as he put it.  We attacher the trailer to the back of my bus for the Harley's because I was needing some serious bike time.  Nothing like a little wind therapy to help me.  Frank, my driver, pulled out with PJ on the bus and Kolby and I followed. 

About eight hours later we pulled up to Raegan's house. We would have been there sooner, but Kolby wanted to take a detour through Deal's Gap and ride the trail, idiot almoat laid his new bike down more times than he could count.  I was walking like I'd been rode hard and hung up wet since I'd been on a Harley for eight hours. All I wanted to do was shower and cuddle with my girl.  Kolby here, wanted to go see the sites and go eat.  He could do that with Sara, after a couple weeks away, I was finally back with my girl. 

The front door opened and outstepped Raegan and I'm assuming a girl who was Sara.  Since it was dark they couldn't see who we were.  "Can I help you with something?" She asked politely.  I looked over at Kolby and nodded, "I'm sorry ma'am but I was looking for a girl by the name of Sara Cruse, she said she lived around this area" Kolby said.  You could see them look at each other all coufused.
"Who the hell are you, and how do you know my name or where I live?" Sara asked.  Yeah, she definitely was a fiesty one too, Kolby is going to have his hands full with this one.  We walked up closer into the light so they could see us, then he explained "you see, I'm Kolby, and I rode all this way to meet you with my brother Brantley since he was in a funk since Raegan came back home." When Raegan saw it was us, she ran and jumped in my arms wrapping her legs around my waist and slamming her lips into mine.

"Hey baby, miss me?" I asked with a half cocked smile.  "You have no idea, and I plan on showing you all night long" she replied waggling her eyebrows at me.  "See ya'll later, hey Kolbs, don't do nothing I wouldn't do!" I laughed at him.  He was standing talking to Sara, next we heard his bike pull off.  Turning we see them ride off into the distance, "we probably won't see them til sometime tomorrow" she laughed.  "That's fine with me baby girl, cause I plan on showing you just how much I missed you" I exclaimed as I picked her up and carried her into the house.  The next few hours I planned on showing her just how much I loved and missed her.
