It was so difficult to keep yourself from busting down the doors of Blockberry to see Haseul on her birthday, but you kept yourself occupied by crafting some handmade gifts to give her the next day.
The morning quickly came around and you hadn't had any sleep. Walking like a zombie because of exhaustion you made your way to meet her at some cafe she suggested. You spotted her sat down with a cup of coffee in her grasp, you didn't feel as bad for looking so tired because so did she.
"You look like death," she got up to greet you.
You rolled your eyes and laughed, "Nice to see you too."
The both of you took your seats across from each other and from your bag you presented the gifts. A big smile grew on her face as she accepted the items in both hands, "You shouldn't have."
"I wanted to make something special for you. Happy birthday for yesterday."
Haseul got up from her seat and wrapped her arms around you in a tight squeeze to thank you.
"Hey y/n, do you want to come back to mine? We could snuggle up with some snacks and if we end up falling asleep it doesn't matter," she suggested.
Feeling yourself grow even more tired at the thought of sleeping, you nodded a yes, so she took you home.
It was warm under a mountain of blankets and warmer at the feeling of Haseul resting her head on your shoulder. The TV was at a low volume playing the show you frequently watch together which was mixing with the sound of Haseul's gentle sleeping breaths. You closed your eyes and focused on the feelings around you. Sleep came almost immediately.
While it was definitely not how you had dreamt you would spend her birthday you felt unable to complain about how cozy these moments felt. For next year you promised you will make sure her birthday is full of excitement.
