you were mostly a person who liked to stay indoors and didn't usually hang out with friendsand you were mostly fine with that until they stopped inviting you out because you kept declining and having other plansyou were fine at first but then it made you feel exludedfake friends am i right :^(you were browsing online to appease your boredom and sadness alone when you found a link to something called........... loonaevery month there would be a new model released and there were only 12 since this was a new projectyou looked at what these things... girls... were and you found that they were likebasically....... friends.......they would basically act like a robot friend and would live with youthey didn't need to eat, but if they would like they were ablesame thing with sleeping, really the equivalent was charging for three hours and they'd be fineyou were super iffy about it because were you really..... that lonely???you looked at the models and saw that 11 of the 12 had been sold and there was only one leftlooking at her preview picture you could see it in her eyes, even if she was a robotthat she was lonely too.............so you were going to give vivi a homeapparently you learned that the reason why she hadn't been taken was because there was a mishap at the factory and she had acquired some damages
they had just finished fixing her but hadn't boot her up yet so that was up to you when she arrivedthey had sent in a rose pink box at your front door and you were confused because it was pretty tall and it was nearly as tall as you, if not tallerand you'd have to try to get it through your front doorit took maybe an hour or so just to get it past the front door and it was pretty much blocking it nowyou had been trying to be extra careful with the box because there were nearly times where it slipped from your grip and landed on its sidemiraculously, though, you managed to get the box in without it falling overso you push the box further into the house and when you finally shut the door you take a long look at the box and are kind of staring for a whilebecause you really can't believe that you ordered a robot friendplus that box is super pretty like ??? what a color ???you only saw her face in one picture and you knew just from looking at it that it did not do her justiceyou finally opened the box, figuring it out after five minutes because it looked like it was a painted block aklsk;dgnwhen you opened it up you saw her............. viviher eyes were closed and she looked like she was sleepingand honestly your breath was taken awayher features were so defined... so real... so.......... humanyou did a full scan of her to see if there was anything faulty or out of place since she did just come back from repairsthere was nothing you found except that there was a pink envelope in her handyou gently took it and when you brushed your fingers against hers they felt so soft and you kind of wanted to hold her handbecause even though her hand was soft it also felt kind of warm....... and though her face was blank and emotionless as she was "sleeping"...........she looked kind of sad and lonely.......you carefully opened up the letter and saw that it was hand written'hello. i apologize for not being awake at the time of my arrival. in order to wake me up there's a panel on the back of my neck that you have to press to open. the power button should be easy to find. thank you. i hope i can fulfill my duties.'reading the letter it sounded so......... emptynot really in a bad way but it seemed like it was an actual robot writing this, where it lacked emotionyou hoped that it wasn't the case and that her "emotions" according to the website were as high tech as they claimed to beyou were able to bring her out of the box enough to reach the panel behind her neckyou had to move her long pink hair out of the way though to get to itit was actually easy boot her up and everything was self-explanatoryafter pressing the button you could hear some areas releasing a steam or something and then....... a slow breathingyou moved away and saw vivi's eyes flutter open and she looked around slightly and then at......... youyou were unsure of what was going to happen next, especially with her walking towards youshe stopped right in front of you and looked into your eyes, staring for a secondyou found it kind of awkward because of how close she was and you had no idea what to doshe looked like she was trying to process some things in her mind and wasn't sure how to get it outa couple times she'd open her mouth and then close it again after nothing came outyou were concerned that it was her vocal box or something that had been damaged but she quickly spoke for the first time'database has been blocked. damage was fixed. everything lost... fuzzy'her voice sounded fluid but her thoughts weren'tshe looked legitimately sad and confused and was looking around like there was something she neededand there was no way you were going to just hand her back and call her faulty after seeing her eyes rise back up to yours with what looked like a... call for helpyou grabbed her hand and waited for her to refocus everything on you, and then when she did you told her your name'.... name? mine's vivi...' you nodded and watched her try to think about her next wordsthey were proving to be very difficult apparently because she had no idea what to say next'vocabulary... don't understand much... all lost'you watched her look at you apologetically now, seemingly now beating herself up for not being able to do this simple task rightyou gripped her hand tighter and said 'no, it's okay. i can help you.''but....... help.... you'you smiled at her and rubbed your thumb over her knuckles, something she awed at and looked down at in wonderit was cute'you'll be helping me when i help you. we're going to help each other, okay?'and she noddedover the next few months you helped vivi adjust to her new environment and relearn a couple functions she was supposed to have but apparently hadn't been run ever since repairsyou bought some books for her to read and reteach herself the language because it seems like she had forgotten and it wasn't working properlyher emotions were also not great at coming outshe'd be blank most of the time and wouldn't do muchbut she had endless curiosity and it was kind of cute watching her look at some deer on a hike and she tried to follow themyou had nearly lost her too but she got distracted by some flowers growing on the side of the pathshe had picked one for you and you had gotten it pressed to keep it with you afterwardsthe first emotion you saw actually fully come out of her was when you two were going out shopping together for some clothes for her and someone accidentally let go of the leash on their dog and it came bounding overit jumped on her and was trying to give her slobbery kissesit was adorable and she was laughing and squealing with joy trying to get the dog off but at the same time give it rubs and hugsshe had a smile on for the rest of the daythat same day the two of you passed a hair salon and someone came out with their hair freshly dyed and she was looking at them with wondershe had touched her own hair and asked you what they were doing in thereyou let her choose the colors and she decided to go blonde, saying it reminded her of one of her friends before they left the factorylater she got it dyed again to black you suggested the color and she wanted to surprise youhonestly it was kind of hard getting vivi back to how she was before repairs according to the website and how they said the bots would actbut during the process you two spent so much time together that you became so attached and loving of hershe'd smile much more often and she loved to hold your hand, saying it was comfortable and made her feel better because that's how it felt the first time you did ither vocabulary was rebuilding itself too! it escalated to where you could watch shows with her and she'd follow along perfectlyexcept it seemed some of her data from before she was damaged didn't recoverbut that was until one time the two of you were watching some old christmas movies that you had found lying around and looked interesting to viviyou weren't really paying that much attention because you'd seen this movie a thousand times beforethe scene came where there were come complaints about christmas apparently nearly going wrong and things were hectic, and 'it's christmas eve!'this got vivi's attention quickly and she shot up from the couch and watched the tv while sitting right in front of itit was like she wasn't her usual self for a moment and looked like she was trying to look for something in the tv'vivi? what's wrong?'she didn't answer and instead shot backwards and reached for the remote and pressed the rewind button, playing the scene over again where the character said 'it's christmas eve!''vivi?''where's yves?' she asked quietly after pausing the movieshe looked sad now, and her bottom lip trembled a little, making your heart lurch and you moved to hug her'who's yves?' you had to repeat the question a couple times for her to answer you but she only replied with'friend from factory................. i miss her'you felt a pang in your heart because it seemed like vivi was the last to go, and that........... yves was very important to vivishe clutched you tighter and squeezed her eyes shut, trying to hold back tearsfor a second you forgot that she was a robot because of how hard she was trying not to let herself goyou heard her whisper another name, something like olivia and she started to hold the panel on the back of her neckyou were afraid she was going to turn herself off but it seemed like she was covering it to......... protect ityou managed to get her to calm down half an hour later and she had told you the source of her damages were from another robot that went kind of rogue and was shutdown before a rebootafter that she had spent her time in the same room as you, as if she feared you'd leave her tooif you got up to get something from the other room she'd tag along toothis behavior made you more sad than annoyed or concerned to be honestshe was following you down the hall once and then you turned aroundshe paused and looked kind of frightened, as if she were in troubleso you grabbed her hands again and she rose her eyes to meet yours after hesitating'vivi, you're not in trouble... what's wrong?''i don't want to lose you...' she clasped your hands tightly and was struggling to keep herself calm'i'm not going anywhere...'she looks at you almost unsurely and bites her lip a little bit'i don't want you to go...' she repeats and she sighs. no tears this time but you can tell she's still sadyou lean forward and give her a kiss on the forehead and it's like all her worries disappear, she looks at you in wonder just as she did when you had rubbed your thumb over her hand'i love you, vivi. i'm not going to leave you'and she smiles at youover the next course of a few days vivi returns back to her usual happy, curious, almost childlike state and is fine not being in the same room as youthe only change is that she regained some of her memories and data from pre-repairs and also............she loves to be super affectionate with youshe'll be the one to grab your hands first and is even so bold as to ask for another kiss on the forehead'for data collecting' she says and you comply because who could say no to her?once she surprised you with a kiss to the cheek and said she learned that from tv and you totally let her watch some more of those dramasexcept when she spoiled an episode for you, you revoked her remote privileges from friday night tv night for two monthsyou also found out her fluency in chinese when trying to order takeout and you were so confused at first because you couldn't pronounce some of the food names on the menu and there weren't any translations to themvivi had taken the phone from you and just ordered everything within the span of 20 seconds which would have taken you like 10 minutesshe smiled at you when she was done and was like 'my parts actually came from china and they had a chinese programmer work on my functions!!'and now she calls you cute names in chinese all the time because you told her she sounds cute when she speaks chinesethings like 'honey' and 'sweetie' or 'love' come out and you always ask her but she never tells you and replies with a kiss to the cheek and then runs off laughing at your stunned form paused mid-actionhonestly this is what happens every time she gives you a kiss on the cheekbeing totally honest, you expected working with vivi to be a difficult time but you've grown to fully love and support her and she in turn has been able to give you the companionship many can only dream of having last for what they want to be a long timeand vivi would give it all back to you full force
