Bingo ran around in a circle, snapping at his wagging tail. Both Trinity and Ashley giggled while the boys tried not to show their amusement. The maniac of a puppy came to a stop, panting. It walked unsteadily over to Ashley and jumped up onto her and cuddled into her, quickly falling into a sleep.

"He's so adorable," Trinity said, while Ashley began to stroke him. Trinity was lying across Nico, looking content. Ashley was curled up in the corner of another sofa, while Reese attempted to get as close as possible to her. Grace wandered into the room, falling heavily onto the armchair.

"Rose says she'll be down for dinner," she murmured, throwing her head back.

"You should get Ashley to cook," Trinity said with a huge grin.

"You can cook?" Reese asked, turning to face

"Oh god no," Ashley said, giving him a look of terror.

"I remember when you nearly burnt the house down making pasta," Trinity chuckled, gaining a glare from Ashley.

"That pasta was pure evil," Ashley said, frowning. Trinity nodded slowly, her smile, somehow, becoming wider.

"Up," Reese said, getting to his feet and turning to look down at Ashley, who was raising an eyebrow. "If you're going to leave in two days, then the least I can do is teach you to cook," Ashley's smile faltered.

"I don't know," Ashley said, unsure. Reese just stood there, looking down at her with a straight face. She glanced at Trinity, but she avoided eye contact. "Fine," she sighed, Reese's face lit up and she couldn't help but feel proud that she had made him smile. She carefully scooped Bingo up in her arms as she stood; laying him on Trinity's outstretched legs. She walked out of the room, closely followed by Reese.

"Are you really that bad?" He asked as they walked to the kitchen.

"Put it this way, my mum tried to teach me to cook once, it ended in her having a nervous breakdown," Ashley chuckled. Then stopped, her mum dominating her mind.

"Well, lucky for you, I am a brilliant teacher," Reese said with a grin.

"My mum was a qualified teacher," Ashley laughed when Reese's smile turned into a frown.

"Ash," Ashley looked up to see Reese giving her a serious look. "I know Trinity's parents are in Italy, but what about yours?" Ashley fell silent, focusing her gaze forward.

"My mum's in hospital and my dad left when I was young," she said quietly. "Well, sir, let your teachings begin," Ashley said, all the life coming back to her voice. Reese gave her a mischievous smile.

Ashley leaned up against the kitchen side, smiling at the glowing oven. She turned to see Reese giving her an amused look.

"I did it," she said proudly.

"Yes you did," he said, scanning the messy countertop, looking up at Ashley as she gave I'm a guilty grin. They started to clean up the explosion of vegetable peelings, random chunks of meat and god knows what else. "Did your mum really have a nervous breakdown trying to teach you to cook?" Reese asked, while he ran the water, holding his finger under the spray.

"Yes and no. Trinity likes to exaggerate that story. My mum just got really frustrated and then fell asleep," Ashley chuckled, scraping the vegetable peelings into the bin.

"And the pasta story?"

"Oh, that's true," Ashley said with a smirk, Reese chuckled, shaking his head.

Ashley slumped into a stool, admiring the sparkling countertop. Reese sat next to her.

"This was actually quite fun," Ashley admitted, Reese nodding in agreement. "Although, I wouldn't advise letting anyone actually eating it."
