Imagine #18 Louis x Reader

I lifted up my hand over my eyes to shield them from the sun. I gazed over the stone building and lightly smiled. Ericson's had been home since before the apocalypse and that factor never changed. I made family here and that wasn't gonna change.

I picked up my machete from one of the picnic tables and slid it into the holster on my back. My h/c was pinned under my f/c hat that had a ripped up beak.

"You know we can always scavenge a new hat for you y/n. You don't need to keep that ratty old one around." I heard from behind me.

I rolled my eyes smiled.

"You don't need to keep that old trenchcoat Louis. We can always find you a better one." I told him while mocking his tone.

He laughed and wrapped his arm around me. We walked towards the gate where Marlon and Brody were waiting. Violet was probably still hiding in her room.

"You guys remember where the safe zone is right? Don't go outside the safe zone." Marlon reminded us.

"Yeah yeah yeah, safe zone shit. Leggo kill some walkers." I replied.

Marlon scowled at me and I just smiled. I knew he still valued me as a friend even though I was always picking on him. I moved my shoulder so that Louis took his arm off of me. I pulled out my machete and smiled. I was gonna win.

Louis and I had this competition each time we went outside Ericson. Whoever could kill walkers in the most badass way got a point, points multiplied for each walker involved in the encounter. Louis was four points ahead of me and I wasn't gonna let him win again.

I slid between the legs of the walker and quickly stood up behind it. As it fell to the ground trying to grab me, I stepped on its back and stabbed it in the back of the head. 

"Hah! I'm caught up with you Louis honey! Next kill takes the game." I yelled at him from across the woods. He fake scowled at me and I laughed. 

"Y/N! LOOK OUT!" I heard Brody scream. 

I turned around and saw a walker try to grab me. I ducked out of the way just to run into another walker. I tried to turn away put smacked into a tree. I fell down by the roots and felt blood trickle down my face. As one of the walkers tried to take a bite out of my face, I felt my arms getting weaker trying to fight it off. 

My arms were just about to give out when the walker was kicked off of me by Louis. He quickly killed the walker then helped me up by putting my arm over his shoulder. 

"You were way too close to the safe zone border y/n! You could've gotten killed!" Marlon scolded me and I weakly flipped him off. Then after that, it's all kind of fuzzy, I can't remember it very well.

"Okay I get it, you win. Can I just go back to laying down?" I asked Louis, who wouldn't stop gloating about his win.

"No, I still gotta do something. We were both traumatized and now need some comfort. So I know what we can do." He rubbed the top of my head therefore making my h/c hair go in every direction imaginable.

He pushed open the door in front of us and I saw the beautiful grand piano. He sat me down on the bench beside him and smiled. He then began to play one of my favorites. Moonlight Sonata.

I swayed along to the music and completely forgot about the gash on my head and the events of yesterday. 

"You look beautiful when you do that."  Louis said and I opened my eyes to see him smiling at me while still playing the song. I smiled and felt my cheeks heat up. "Shush you." I told him.

"Well I can't help it if you're beautiful." He remarked and I smiled. Yeah, I was alright.
