Eddie left around half an hour ago. It's just a break right? Not a break up....he just needs so time. My thoughts are interrupted by my phone ringing. I check the call ID and answer it. It's Bev.

Me: Hey

Bev: Ben just told me that Eddie is staying with him until Sunday. Wanna tell me why?

Me: Eddie wanted a break

Bev: From?

Me: Us. Our relationship

Bev: What?!

Me: It's just a break.....we'll be fine

Bev: Totally....Ross and Rachel were fine

Me: Ross slept with another woman and they broke up?

Bev: ...

Me: Oh

Bev: Yeah

Me: We're not Ross and Rachel though

Bev: I know just be careful. Don't do anything to make the break permanent

Me: Thanks, Bev. You know until you said that I was gonna do everything I could to get him to dump me

Bev: Shut up

Bev: Wait, why does Eddie want a break?

Me: He said he needed time

Bev: Time to....?

Me: I don't know. He just said time. Time to get better on his own?

Bev: Oh

Me: I shouldn't have brought up that stupid conversion therapy again

Bev: You brought it up again after how he reacted last time?

Me: I know.....how do I fix this?

Bev: Be there as a friend right now and give him some space

Bev: So....something happened. Something good

Me: Oh yeah? What happened?

Bev: My aunt found out what my dads been doing. She called the cops and now she's moving here so I can live with her and still be around all of you

Me: That's great, Bev! You deserve to be happy and feel safe in your own home

Me: Did you tell the others yet?

Bev: Not yet

Me: You should do that

Bev: I will later. You need a friend right now

Me: I'll be fine. I gotta go explain everything to my mom anyway

I hang up and go downstairs when I hear the door close.

"Hey. Where's Eddie?" mom asks.

"At Ben's" I say.
