-Dewey's POV-
He wasn't scared. Not even for a moment. Nothing could stand in his way. Absolutely nothing. If he was being completely honest, he didn't know what he would do if the group gave chase after the Spitfire but he didn't care.
They were soaring, high above the clouds. Vixen kept looking back at him, checking his reactions. "THIS IS AMAZINGGG!" He screamed into the night sky, flinging his arms up. The wind ruffled his hair, messing it up. When Vixen turned around again, she couldn't help but smirk.
"Hey pip-squeak, you want to try piloting?" She yelled with a smirk. Dewey's heart exploded into a million happy pieces, he was shaking he was so excited.
"You bet I do!!" He yelled back at her, it was hard to hear anything over the hum of the Spitfire.
"Okay, after we land, I'll teach you how to control it!" Vixen yelled. Dewey searched for the nearest rock, cliff, mountain, or overhang. Anything that looked safe enough to land on. The wait was too long!
Then an even louder hum then the Spitfire's sounded all around them. Vixen seemed to shrink in the cockpit. "What's wrong?" Dewey screamed up at her and she shushed him.
"They found me already..."
-Louie's POV-
The rest of the people aboard the Sunchaser were frantically running about as the plane started to take off, trying to think of ways to find Dewey and the fox. Except for his mom, who was off in the corner. Louie sighed, figuring it was time to confront her about the triplet separation.
"Hey, Mom." Louie started off with. Della looked down at him, even more tears fell from her face. She desperately reached for him and pulled him into a hug.
"I'm so sorry. You know that right? I love you and I'm so so sorry." She barely whispered. They sat like that for a few minutes.
Louie had been waiting patiently for the last couple of months, since he had found out. Actually, he didn't know that Dewey was the other brother until he saw Della during the start of the trip.
His phone buzzed like a million times and he guessed that he had finally gotten service back. Louie apologized to his mom before taking out his phone. There was ten new messages from Lena.
Lena: hello
Lena: Louie
Lena: you dead
Lena: it's been a day and your always on your phone where you at
Lena: Louie are you dead
Lena: Louie, doofus drake is asking about you
Lena: where's webby is she okay
Lena: Louie this isn't funny
Lena: this isn't funny it's been a whole day
Lena: silent treatment isn't cool Louie
Louie sighed, pressing closer to Della. Lena would have to wait, right now he just wanted to be in the welcoming arms of his mom.
-Huey's POV-
Dewey had run away with a complete stranger! His brother was an idiot sometimes. Huey laughed at the thought, he wasn't an only child anymore. None of them were.
Huey and Webby were sitting close enough to Scrooge and Launchpad so he could hear their conversation.
"I should have gotten rid of Vixen when I had the chance. She keeps popping up in unfortunate places stealing my money, like the time she went aboard this very ship while Della and I were rescuing Donald from pumpkins-long story." Scrooge muttered to Launchpad.
"Interesting story Mr. McDee. Hey, you think we should check that giant plane right there for Dewey?" He replied.
Huey and Webby jumped out of their seats and looked out the window. A huge cargo plane was a few miles out in front of them. There were tiny planes flying around another smaller plane. Huey looked for some magnifier to see closer. Webby noticed, ruffled through a few boxes by the window and handed one to him. He muttered his thanks before staring out into the dark night.
The aero planes were sweeping around the smaller plane, causing it to be dragged into the belly of the largest one. Upon further investigation, Huey spotted a kid with a blue shirt swinging a sword around.
"It's Dewey!" Huey shouted pointing. The others all gathered around the window, taking turns looking through the binoculars.
"Oh my gosh... I know where I recognize Vixen from... the Iron Vulture... the last name of Karnage.... she's a fox! We have to rescue them!" Della shouted pulling her two sons with her close. "I need my Dewey."
-Dewey's POV-
The huge plane opened behind them. Vixen snarled, steering the yoke harder, pushing the Spitfire to go faster. Planes around them contained pirates, all making piratey calls.
"Yar! Vixen! Ye've returned!" A female pirate called flipping on top of the Spitfire. Vixen glared fiercely at her.
"I don't plan on staying." Vixen muttered to Dewey, handing him a sword. "Fling this around, act like you know what your doing."
"Maybe I do know what I'm doing!" Dewey yelled up to her, but she pretended not to hear him. Then he tossed the sword a couple of times around before pointing it at the pirate who had spoken. His words started out as a chant before it turned into a song, "Be warned! Tis I, Captain Dewey, who leads this fearsome crewey! With dagger, swagger, daring-"
"I believe you mean me. The fearsome pirate captain, Don Karnage!" A voice sounded over a speaker on the cargo aero plane. "Why hello there young duck.... and my daughter... Vixen, the traitor. You! Duck! I have been ordered by a wealthy citizen of Duckburg to capture you! Pirates, attack!"
Vixen leaned over to whisper in his ear, "they normally do a dance number to distract us! Don't watch just keep pretending you know how to use that sword!" Dewey nodded.
A catchy tune sounded. "A vast ye lads who-"
"Don't listen!!!" Vixen screamed, speeding away. Dewey plugged both of his ears, jumping back into the passenger seat. The Spitfire veered left and right trying to escape but they were getting closer and closer to the open mouth of the cargo plane.
-Webby's POV-
The Sunchaser dove up from underneath the orange and green plane. Della lowered the back of the plane, so the smaller plane could enter. Dewey and Vixen stared in shock, until Dewey's face turned to hatred when he saw Della.
The three children motioned for Vixen to fly into the Sunchaser and she started to before Dewey grabbed the yoke. He glared fiercely and shouted, "No! She lied to me my entire life! No way I'd go back in there!"
"Dewey you have to trust me! Those pirates will kill you!" Della shouted. Tears streamed down her face.
Webby knew that the plan wasn't working. When she thought about it, there wasn't anyway Dewey would allow the plane to be brought into the Sunchaser. Only one possible solution came to mind. She grabbed the letter that Vixen had given her and placed it on the floor. Someone would surely give it to Scrooge if she wasn't able to. She was going to take a risk that she didn't know she would be able to walk away from. She calculated the right speed, angle, and spot then took a chance.
Webby ran to the edge of the platform, everyone around her gasped and reach for her, but it was too late. She jumped...
And landed on Vixen's plane.
