Ducktales : Only Child

Year Later Commentary

HELLOOOOO!!!
Bet you all weren't expecting this.

Hi, how are all of you? I hope you all are fantastic! If you can't tell, this story was written well over a year ago, but I couldn't think of any better title. This will be a little look back at all I've done since then and what I think of Only Child now. We hit 4,000 some reads! That's amazing!! I promised I would rewrite the whole thing when we hit 4,000 but I obviously have not yet... haaaaa...

First off, I've gotten so much better at writing since then. Not only that, but I also use Grammarly to check my work which is sort of cheating, but makes it even better. Looking back at it, I can see the choppy writing style, short paragraphs, and the low usage of advanced word choice. I'm shocked that this one has been my biggest so far, but what can I say? Not to mention, I'm in AP English and required to write college level, timed write, five-paragraph essays in an hour. This looks like a kindergartener did it smh 😂💕

Next, I realize how confusing it is. It's all over the place! Even reading it now I'm massively confuzzled as to what I was even thinking. The switch was insane and unexpected, it was something random that popped into my head that I didn't explain much.

I never really pointed out the ships in Only Child, did I? Well, Dewey and Vixen were a big one and Louie and Webby were sorts of one? I probably should have left it ambiguous so you could have ship-wars.

I'm sadly not really into Ducktales anymore, but it's okay. This story can be translated into many different franchises, I realize now that it didn't matter if I like Ducktales anymore, I can still enjoy this story. I'd be even more confused, sure, but there's still enjoyment there.

Instead, I am very much into the Warriors series by Erin Hunter. Guess I haven't aged much. I currently lead one clan (and am a leader of the amino) and am a deputy on two others. Across all three aminos, I believe I have near 30-40 warrior cat characters. Embarrassing, I know! I will be posting two separate books on here, one for all my writing and one for all my characters' bios and such. If that interests you, please check it out when it's posted!

Ya girl is now proudly Demisexual and Biromantic! This is my massive online coming out, no need to applaud. If you don't know what that means, look it up to my friends. If I rewrite this, I'll have to include a persona, not joking. Guess that's another plus. I also star in my school's musical! It's my very first year and I'm very surprised that I had gotten such a big role. Thank you to everyone who believed in and supported me!

I ALSO MET MY HERO SKYLER FLAHERTY WHO I BASE MANY CHARACTERS OFF OF (besides Ben Cook and Joshua Burrage). IT WAS SO MAGICAL. If you ever get to meet one of your heroes, make sure you plan your speech and not start crying when you see them. It freaks them out, lesson learned.

Oop, sorry, this is so short my dudes. Short chapters drive me up the wall, but it's not really a chapter? I didn't dive in too much, but this is allllll your getting.  Was this just so I could rant a little bit? Yes... but I'm allowed to do that ah ha ha ha.

In conclusion, I will TRY to rewrite it. All rewrites will be posted after this bit here so that the old version is still seeable. I may even add more chapters if I think it's fun! Cya all later 💕
