-Louie's POV-

It had been a long ride back to the mansion. The Forest of No Return had apparently vanished, not that anyone was feeling up for it anyway. Louie was a little disappointed, there had been no treasure.

Plus he had school tomorrow. The most disappointing thing he had ever heard. Going from an adventure with no treasure to call his own, to another boring day at school. It was only the first week!

Once they had gotten to the mansion, no one wanted to go back to their respective homes. Especially since they all knew that they were triplets. Well, and that Dewey didn't want anything to do with their mom. Actually, he had been really quiet since they had gotten back.

Scrooge had told the boys that they would be sharing a room together. There was a bunk bed already set up with red on the top, blue in the middle, and green on the bottom. It was as if it was made for them. Della had announced that she had told Scrooge to set it up since they were really little, hoping that one day they would be together again. Webby was so thrilled that she almost started crying. Once the others left, Huey and Louie ran into their new beds, finally getting a chance to rest.

Louie loved the idea of sleeping with other people. He always felt alone and scared when he was by himself, he was glad his brothers were there now. Except Dewey didn't seem to feel the same way, taking his blue pillow and blanket and putting it in the farthest corner. He didn't even look at them, which concerned Louie. Even though he had just met his brother, he still felt an overwhelming amount of brotherly love towards him.

Louie climbed out his bed, creeping towards the light to turn it off. "Hey Dewey, you mind if I turn off the light?" There wasn't a reply, except the faint sound of sniffling.

"Go ahead, Louie." Huey whispered from the highest bunk. Louie nodded, still staring at Dewey, then flicked the lights off, running back to his bed and quickly drifting to a deep sleep.

-Huey's POV-

Huey had a hard time sleeping. One, his Uncle Donald wasn't there and he was at the boat. He really hadn't ever slept at someone else's house before. It was different though, he knew his brothers where there now. Reason number two, the sound of Dewey trying to not cry was killing him inside. Not only was it loud, it was really upsetting. There wasn't anything he could do, he couldn't bring Vixen back and he couldn't make things right with his mom.

Eventually sleep did take Huey. He dreamed of adventures that he would have with his new family. Racing through subway tunnels solving a mystery, climbing to the top of a mountain trying to map it, probably crashing again somewhere because of Launchpads flying abilities. He couldn't help but smile in his sleep, he was so excited to finally be able to know the mysteries of his and Uncle Donald's family.

-Dewey's POV-

Dewey really was trying to stop thinking about it. The letter was clenched in his hands, a little wet from crying into it. Her words flowed through his mind on repeat. "I will protect him with my life... I won't let him be captured by those disgusting rats... I want you all to know how much I love Dewey... I promise I won't ever leave him... I will protect him with my life..."

She had kept her promise, protecting him by having him go to the Sunchaser. She protected him with her life. Vixen Karnage, pilot of the Spitfire and best friend to Captain Dewey Duck, was completely gone.

He couldn't bring himself to say 'dead'. No, she wasn't dead. She's just a prisoner. Maybe they dropped her off somewhere. Maybe...

No. Dewey had to let her go. That would be the way that that stubborn lovable fox would want it. Vixen is dead.

The sobs grew louder, he had to be stronger. Strong for Vixen.

But tonight was an exception, Dewey allowed himself to cry throughout the night. He thought about how little he knew of his brace and snarky friend. How much she trusted him.

How she loved him.

How he loved her.

-Webby's POV-

The rest of the night went by peacefully. Once Webby's head had hit the pillow, she was out cold. Dreams and nightmares filled her mind throughout the evening, but she was too tired to really think about them much.

All she knew is how much she had to tell Lena. The adventure start, the crash, the Louie incident, Huey figuring out the mystery with Della, Dewey's running off with a pirate, the escape from Don Karnage's crew, Della and Louie, Vixens sacrifice. Did she mention jumping out of a plane? Lena would think she was super cool, Webby made a mental reminder to tell her about that part. Though she probably wouldn't need the reminder because she was starting to feel sore from the awkward landing.

Besides, Webby would have to be on high alert for Doofus Drake. His need and desire for Louie concerned her, but that concern would have to be for another time. She was too tired to think about it right now.

Because tomorrow, tomorrow was a new day.
