"You're leaving me almost all of the summer," I said, pretending to pout.

"Alaska will be here," Sam pointed out.

"I think she's mad about me hanging out with you all the time. Plus the thing about me leaving to go to UCLA this fall. We haven't talked in a while."

"So maybe you should get your ass off of my bed and go talk to her."

"I will. Eventually," I told him.

"Now," he persisted.

"Fine. I'm leaving," I said, standing up. "Peace."

"Bye."

I walked to my car and turned it on. I texted Alaska as I was still sitting in the driveway.

Hey. Wanna do something today?

Aren't you a little busy with Sam? She asked.

No I want to hang out with you.

Sorry I'm busy.

Well then, I thought to myself, Fuck you too.

I didn't know what to do now. I wanted to go back into Sam's house but then again, I didn't want to go back into his house. There was no one else I could hang out with since Alaska wouldn't talk to me, other than Jack and that was not happening.

I put my car in drive and right as I did my phone beeped. I looked at the screen and saw it was from Jack.

What does he want? I thought. We had hardly spoken since we broke up, other than the few times Jack, Jack, Sam, and I all hung out together.

Wanna come over? ;) his message read.

I thought it over for a few seconds. On one hand I had nothing better to do, but on the other, it was Jack and knowing Jack we wouldn't just hang out.

No I'm good I finally told him.

I put the car in drive again and pulled out of Sam's driveway.

I knocked on Alaska's door. I didn't care if she didn't want to talk to me, I was going to make her talk to me.

A few seconds later the door swung open and Alaska narrowed her eyes at me. She tried to close the door but I stopped her.

"Why are you so pissed at me?" I asked, stepping into her house.

"I don't know what you're talking about," she said, rolling her eyes a little.

"You're acting like a little bit of a cunt to me and I don't know why."

"Maybe since you call me things like cunt I'm pissed at you."

"Shut up and tell me why you're being a cunt."

She sighed and I could tell she was going to give in and tell me. "You're starting to act like a different person. And you hardly ever talk to me anymore."

"We don't need to talk 24/7, you know that right?" I said.

"We've been talking all day everyday since I was in 7th grade," she said.

"Exactly. All we ever do is talk about people the other person doesn't give a damn about, and pretend we care. It's a little annoying and boring."

"True. But that doesn't mean you have to go a week without texting me."

"I can text you whenever. Nothing ever happens in our lives anyway," I pointed out.

"Since we've got that covered, why are you acting like a bitch?" she asked me.
