So far I only had to tell a handful of people who gave me my new necklace. It made me so upset that I couldn't tell them the truth. If I had given someone a special gift like this I would want everyone to know I gave it to them. I could only imagine how Jack was feeling.

"Lakyn. You have a new necklace," Alaska pointed out as we were walking to my car.

"Wow. You can see," I mocked.

"Shut up. Where'd you get it?"

"I just found it on this website and liked it so I bought it," I shrugged.

"I like it," Alaska approved, nodding.

"Me too," I smiled when she wasn't watching.

"Why the fuck does Zoe always take so long?" Alaska asked, as we got into my car.

"I have no idea," I shook my head.

We waited in my car for a good five minutes before Zoe finally got in.

"What always takes you so long?" I asked, pulling out of the parking lot.

"I was just talking to Amanda," she said.

Amanda was also a freshman and Zoe's best friend. They didn't hand out as much as Alaska and I did but they were pretty close from what I knew.

I dropped Alaska off at her house and I could feel Zoe's eyes on me.

"What?" I asked, acknowledging her eyes.

"I lied about always talking to Amanda after school," she answered.

"Then why are you always late?"

"I've been talking to this guy I like and the reason I haven't told anyone is because I know mom and dad would flip out."

My jaw dropped open. I didn't expect Zoe to basically do the same thing Jack and I were doing.

"Does anyone else know besides me?"

"No. Other than him," Zoe answered.

"Who is it?" I asked.

"Just another freshman you probably don't know."

She was probably right. I didn't know many freshamn. I was lucky I knew as many Juniors as I did.

"Where did you get that necklace?" Zoe asked.

I sighed. If she trusted me enough to tell me about her sneaking around then it was only fair I tell her about me sneaking around.

"I've been seeing someone secretly too and he gave it to me as an early birthday present," It felt good to tell someone the truth.

"Who?"

I sighed again, "Jack Gilinsky," I winced as I said his name, waiting for her reaction.

"Really. He likes you?" Zoe asked, sounding surprised.

"Thanks."

"I didn't mean it like that," she paused, "Okay I did mean it like that, but out of all the other girls in the world he chose to sneak around with Lakyn Ellis?"

"That's what I said! I'm not special so why chose me?"

I pulled into our driveway and Zoe and I both got out of the car.

"Good talk, sis," Zoe said as we both went to our rooms.

"Good talk," I agreed.

That was the most actual bonding Zoe and I had ever had. We had bonded over other things, like our hatered of our parents stupid rules, but never something other sisters actually bonded over. I liked it. I felt like a normal girl for once in my life.
