"So what if Khalil find out we at the hospital with her?" Quincy said while him and Sammy were sitting in the waiting area. He'd just received a text from Khalil asking where they are but, he doesn't want to lie.
The game here is Quincy and Sammy can't care for April. Meaning, if she's beaten up or heart broken, they have to, at least, pretend not to care. And if they do, well, lord knows what Khalil would do. Sammy was beginning to break out of it but, Quincy was being loyal but, he's not sure how much longer he can act this way.
"Again, don't be a pussy. We had to, she was beaten badly. For anything we should tell that Keith guy." Sammy replied, "You know him at all?"
"Hell nah, I just met him yesterday. Maybe we need to pull up at his crib again." Quincy suggested.
"We can do that, only if she has to stay the night here, if not then, she can tell him." Sammy waved off. He continued to look at his phone, scrolling through instagram, "Damn this time line is filled with Claire and April fighting, bruh."
"Why you care about April so much, though?" Quincy asked totally disregarding what was just said. Sammy looked up at him then back down.
"I mean, Q, we been the girl's friend since we was in diapers. Right about now we bullshitting her by sitting here, watching her get beat and harassed by some nigga we met a few years ago. We basically like her brothers man, we need to start acting like it." He preached to him. Quincy looked down ashamed because his little brother was right. But, then it was one other thing.
"Man, what if I told you me and her was more than that?"
"Nigga, what?"

"So, looks like you're alright now. We got you all bandaged up," The doctor said, "But, before you go, you must answer some questions."
"About what?" April questioned, raising an eyebrow.
"What happened. You have to file a police report because these cuts and bruises aren't from just anything, Miss Santana." The doctor explained.
"I don't want to file a police report. Nothing happened, it was between me and my room mate. Just a petty fight." April lied. She wasn't quite sure why she didn't want to tell the truth but, it was just denial.
"These marks look more than a female cat fight, Miss Santana. If there's anything deeper, like domestic vi—"
"There's not doctor, thank you for healing me. I signed the release forms and I just want to go home, I'm tired." April sighed out. The stared at her for a moment before looking back down at the clipboard.
"I just need you to sign these discharge forms and you're good to go, hon." The doctor said. April took the clipboard and signed her name where the X's were before giving it back to her. "Have a great day, Miss Santana. And I will keep you in my prayers." The doctor walked out of the room, April just rolled her eyes, mocking the lady. She slid off the bed still wincing in pain.
She walked out into the waiting area and saw Quincy and Sammy. They stood immediately when they saw saw her. "Why did you two bring me here?" She questioned.
"Shit, why not." Quincy replied, shrugging his shoulders.
"I don't want to be here. What if Khalil—"
