5 years later...
April gathered all three kids together, Ken, Akeila, and Khe'anna, as they boarded her private plane, that was parked on its own runway. Now in Atlanta, next stop, home to California. April had became a single mother and successful singer all in five years. She was doing more and more promos and she just had to take her kids along for the experience.
After April and the kids boarded the plane, she got them all strapped in their seats. They always loved the long plane rides, it was their favorite part of traveling. As April sat down, her manager, Nia, got her attention.
"April, there's someone outside wanting to speak to you." Nia spoke, smiling widely. April found this quite suspicious, Nia was like April's bestfriend and manager so, of course she told her everything. This is why her stomach began turning when she smiled.
Without question, April got up, walking to the exit of the plane as Nia sat in her seat to watch the kids. At the top of the steps, April caught eye with that someone. She began smiling as she stepped down slowly with her arms crossed. Mainly because it was wintertime, 45 degrees, flurrying, and two days until Christmas.
As she walked closer to him, she spoke. "Didn't think you'd come, KP." April stood in front of him with her eyebrow cocked up.
"Well, I'm here, Santana. You goin' show me some love or what?" Keith joked, making her chuckle. The two shared a hug, a long one at that. "I've missed you."
"You too." She replied. The two released from their passionate hug, "So, I've been seeing you do your thang in the movies."
"I've been seeing you do your 'thang' on stage." He copied her tone of voice making her smile once again. Disregarding the last weeks of their relationship, he never failed to make her smile. "I've really missed you, though, April."
"I read your letter and I've kept it. I read it everyday, I missed you more." She replied. Silence filled the air between them. The tension was thick, and this wasn't any negative tension. More sexual. Before anything was to happen, April spoke, "So—"
She couldn't even get two words out before he grabbed her waist and face, pulling her close and kissing her on the lips. It was almost like a fairytale, everyone's watching, saying their aww's. The kids were looking through the window confused as Nia was in awe as well.
"Who's that man Mommy's kissing?" Kenneth questioned, asking Nia.
"That's your daddy, kids." Nia answered him, still looking out the window. Khe'Anna & Akeila both looked at each other, happily, bouncing up and down in their chairs.
Meanwhile, outside, they're still kissing until one of them had to pull away. Once they did, they looked each other in the eyes, growing smiles on their faces.
"Um... so, I was going to ask um...did you need a ride back to... Cali?" April spoke still dazed by the kiss.
"I was hoping you'd ask that." Keith turned around, signaling for the men to bring his luggage over, "I was already prepared."
"And what if I didn't say anything, silly?" She hit his chest, playfully.
"I'd still hop on." He shrugged. April scoffed, rolling her eyes at his response.
"Oh, come on goofball." She grabbed his hand and pulled him toward the plane. As they were walking she just remembered, "Oh, yeah, I meant to tell you something else."
"What?"
"I'm getting married soon."
"To who?" Keith's voice grew jealous and confused, after that kiss, he was distraught.
"He's a really nice guy. I met him in college. He left and left me this ring." April held up her hand and showed it off to him. Keith began smiling as he realized she was talking about him as he admired the ring on her slender, ring finger. "I never really got the proposal I wanted but, I'd still marry him anyways. Mrs. Powers has a nice ring to it, huh?"
"It does, a beautiful one." He then kissed her on the cheek before walking on to the airplane stairs.
Once they got fully on, all three kids caught eye of Keith and came out of their seatbelts somehow like a bunch of puppies. "Daddy!" They exclaimed as they ran over to him. He bent down to give all of them hugs.
"Hey, I've missed you guys so much." He gave each of them individually a kiss on the cheek.
"We missed you too." Kenneth spoke.
"I have so much to tell you!" Khe'Anna excitedly said.
"No, I do!" Akeila chimed in, aggressively.
"No, I do!"
Keith chuckled, "Okay, we have plenty of time to talk during the ride."
"Are you staying this time?" Kenneth asked with a pouty face.
"I'm staying this time. For a long time." Keith answered him sincerely. His son gave him a tighter hug. This made him feel great to know that his son was especially happy to hear he's staying. That's why he always wanted a son.
"Alright, let's get you guys back into the seats, come on." Nia ordered the kids. They ran back into the seats they were in as she begun strapping them in.
Keith stood and asked April, "Who's she?"
"Oh, that's Nia. My manager, assistant, best friend, councilor. She gets good pay." April replied, watching her. Nia walked over to the golden couple to introduce herself.
"Sorry, I'm Nia Parker. It's nice to meet you Keith. I've heard a lot about you." She smiled, deranged, as she look his hand.
"I believe it. It's nice to meet you as well." He replied. April walked him over to the back of the plane where it was some private space. A small little bed and all.
April closed the sliding door after her and Keith both got in. "What are we doing in here?"
"I thought since I'm Mrs. Powers soon, and we haven't seen each other in five years nor have I made love since then, I was thinking..." She bit her lip, taking her her shirt slowly, only showing her in her bra and sweatpants.
"Oh, you tryna... do that?"
"Mhm," She nodded.
"Come here and give it to me then."

We've reached the end of the road! Such an NE heartbreak but i'll be aight.
