After getting paperwork filled out to leave college, she was officially a college drop-out. Not something to be proud of but, she did it for a good reason. Well at least in her mind. Next step was to finish packing to move out and into her mother's house for the time being. Her mother, Cassidy, was willing to let her and the kids stay there. Her and Camille were willing to help her out as well.
But, tonight was the night of the showcase and her mind was focused on only that for the remainder of the day. The infants were already at Cassidy's house from when she brought them down over the last weekend. Now, it's Saturday and her main focus was the showcase.
Meanwhile, Keith had other things he did. Instead of sticking around, he drove down to Roselawn Rehabilitation Center. This is where his mother was admitted years prior to this and she's been there ever since. He owed her a visit, he did miss her dearly.
He signed in at the front desk and asked what room she'd be in. The older woman informed him where her room was and showed him there.
"Georgia has improved here a lot. Her second time around here was the best." The woman, named Wilma, conversed.
"How long have you been here?" Keith questioned.
"When your mother first came, I was just an intern but, she was so great to talk to. She tells me so much that she loves and missed her son," Wilma smiled at him, "She's going to be so happy to see you."
They approached the room so closely. Keith was nervous, very nervous. He wasn't sure what it was but, butterflies fluttered in his stomach. Wilma knocked on Georgia door. Quickly, the door swung open, and there she was, Georgia fresh face and happier than Keith's ever seen.
"Georgia, you have a special visitor." Wilma smiled widely. Georgia's eyes scanned over to the tall man which was her son, her son that she hadn't seen in years.
"Hey, ma." Keith spoke. Georgia was still in shock, frozen. She then broke down into tears and went to go hug him. She cried in his arms as she hugged him. Wilma smirked at the beautiful reunion. She gave Keith a signal that she'd leave them alone quietly.
"Oh, son, I've missed you." She said, muffled because she was still crying into his chest. Keith was kind of bummed she didn't remember his name still but, he let it pass.
After the very teary reunion, they went into her room with door closed like it was for privacy. The room was made up like a little bedroom, of course. A television, a single, full sized bed, dressers, closet, and even a sofa. Keith was sat on the sofa as his mother fixed up her bed.
"Nice room." He spoke, looking around.
"I know, it's beautiful, isn't it? The color of blue is very calming." Georgia replied, happily. The room was an ocean blue color, she always loved the beach and ocean anyway.
"Why'd you choose to stay here for all this long time if your clean?"
"Well, it's a dangerous world out there now and, I don't want any parts of it. Being here, it's like an escape, a safe place. And the people here love me, they always come to me to talk to. I'm a figure." She explained, coming to sit down next to Keith. He nodded, looking down with still so much on his mind. Georgia noticed the negative vibes. "What's wrong? You seem upset."
"I am," He replied, "I met this girl at the college, her name's April, and we've been together for a year or so and her and I have two kids together and I have another by another girl—"
"Now, I know Ruby taught you to wrap it up." Georgia scolded in a playful way, "Continue."
"Me and April, we're not together anymore for my own fucked up reason." He explained, "After Dante, died..." He barely couldn't finish, holding him tears. His voice was so shaky but, he knew not to cry when around his mother.
