The Hunky/Brooding/Mysterious Guy:
Mystery doesn't mean substance. They probably also need a restraining order (ex: Edward Cullen)
The Mary Sue:
The perfect main character who always has the best intentions in mind. She's perfect but doesn't see it. Everyone loves her, but there is no big struggle and this makes it hard to relate to.
The Popular Girl:
Usually, mean and hates the protagonist for no reason. A mean character doesn't need to be a girl, and there should be a reason as to why the main character is hated. This character needs to make sense in your story.
The Nerdy Sidekick:
There needs to be more about this character than being nerdy. Maybe give them a moment of bravery but make sure that their existence means something.
