Definition of Psychopathy:
A constellation of traits that comprises affective features, interpersonal features, as well as impulsive and antisocial behaviors. Although psychopathy is a risk factor, for physical aggression, it is by no means synonymous with it. In contrast to individuals with psychotic disorders, most psychopaths are in touch with reality and seemingly rational.
Causes of Psychopathy:
No one knows exactly what causes psychopathy, but it is likely a combination of genetics, environmental and interpersonal factors. For instance:
- Substance abuse by the parents
- Separation from a parent or lack of parental involvement
- Child physical abuse or neglect
- Poor parenting, parenting that focuses on punishment (rather than rewards)
Things most psychopaths do or like how they act and stuff... You know what I mean, come on people, it's just a list, get over yourselves:
-they abuse animals
- they have an inflated sense of self-worth
- they exhibit antisocial behavior
- they're apathetic
- they're bold
- they're disinhibited
- they use manipulative speech
- they pathologically lie
- they live a parasitic lifestyle
- they lack realistic goals
- they're impulsive
- they lack behavioral control
- they tend to be irresponsible
- they exhibit juvenile delinquency
- they are criminally versatile
- they tend to get bored easily
- they tend to lack anxiety
What a Psychopath isn't equivalent to:
- Violence
- Serial killer (psychopathic killer)
- Psychosis (delusions and hallucinations)
- Mental illness (psychopathology) in general
- Antisocial personality Disorder
