I wake up to the sound of my alarm blaring the terrible default iPhone ringtone. I roll over and reach around for the sound of the phone for a couple seconds before my fingers feel the familiar device. I grab it and and squint at it, noticing at once that it's not an alarm, but a phone call coming in from work.

"Shit," I mutter and run a tired hand down my face before bringing the phone up to my ear. "Hello? Good morning," I mumble, knowing fully that I sound like death.

"Morning? Hana have you seriously been asleep all day? Is that why you haven't been to work?!" I groan at my coworker Jae's voice and hold the phone further away from my ear. "You didn't come in yesterday or today and management was getting worried since you never call in sick."

I push myself up and sit with my back against the wall. I quickly glance at the time on my phone. 4:48 PM. Damn, I really did sleep through the whole day.

"Also did those two guys find you? They came by early yesterday ranting about you and trying to figure out where you were. I don't know what's going on with you, Hana, but you better not be being stupid again," he says and I can just picture him frowning.

"Jae, slow down, you're going to give me a migraine," I tell him, pushing my fingers against the bridge of my nose. "Can you just give management an excuse or something for me. Tell them I got food poisoning or something like that. I'll be back into work tomorrow," I say even though I have zero interest in going back to that hell hole.

"Fine, I'll make up some excuse for you, but I swear, if you tried to do something stupid," he threatens and I groan again, tired of him patronizing me. We knew each other long enough for him to be able to read me like the back of his hand and he often worried when I was showing signs of negativity.

"Jae! Please, I'm fine, okay? Just make up an excuse and I'll see you at work tomorrow!" I yell into the phone when I can hear him start to talk again. "I'll explain everything tomorrow if it makes you happy and shuts you up for once," I say.

He breathes out. "Fine. Bye Hana, see you tomorrow."

"See you tomorrow, Mister Annoying," I mumble before hanging up the phone.

I scream internally and throw myself back down onto the bed. Jae means the best and I know that, but he was the type to not back down until he knew I was okay. It made me so angry in the past when he doesn't let things go even when I beg him to forget it. But he would just stand there with his arms crossed and his eyes slanted into a glare at me, waiting patiently to just tell him what was wrong. And I always gave in, not wanting to deal with his overbearing protective personality. It became exhausting at times.

There's a knock at the door and I have half the mind to snap the neck of whoever was there, but I just close my eyes briefly to center myself. "It's open," I say as I shove the blankets off of me and get up, not wanting to look like I've just woken up, even though it was probably still extremely obvious.

I'm shocked when it's Jimin that walks into the room, a glass of water in his hand. He smiles at me shyly before holding the water out. "I brought you this," he says awkwardly, "I was in Tae's room when you started yelling so I thought you might need some water to calm down," he tells me.

"Thank you," I say and walk over to take the water from him. I keep my wrists angled away from him and hope he doesn't notice my awkward stance. "Oh and thanks for the pajamas," I tell him, looking down at the simple white and blue pajamas.

"You're welcome, Jungkook said you were trying to sleep in dirty clothes. I hate that," he says before giving me a wide eyed glance. "Oh, sorry, I didn't mean I hate you sleeping in dirty clothes, I mean," he stutters and looks around the room as if expecting some help. "You know, people shouldn't sleep in clean beds with dirty clothes," he finishes.
