The Dumping Ground: Charlie and Alex

Grandad

General pov
Charlie and Alex were doing the weekly shop for the DG. Alex normally hated this job, but as he was doing it with Charlie it wasnt that bad. They were having a laugh talking about everything and anything. Then Charlie's phone rings.

Charlies pov
My phone began to ring so I answered it. It was Mike saying that I was able to see my grandad at his care home. I was so excited as I thought it was cancelled. Mike said that I should bring Alex with me as I shouldn't go alone. This made me excited I always wanted my grandad to meet Alex. I just hope grandad doesn't embarrass me.

Alex's pov
Charlie got off the phone and told me we were going to see her grandad l. This made me really excited as I always wanted to meet the make who raised such an amazing girl, but also made me fell nervous and I really want him to like me.

General Pov
Charlie and Alex finish the shop and walk to Charlie's grandads care home, it wasnt that far of a walk. They laughed the whole way there. Once they got there Charlie had a huge smile on her face. Seeing Charlie so happy made Alex so happy so he had an equally big smile on his face and they both walked.

Charlies pov
As we walked in to the care home everyone was so welcoming and my grandads career approached us, she was lovely and she lead us to my grandad.
When I saw him I gave him the biggest hug and a kiss in the check. I missed him so much. I introduced him to Alex and he seems to like him, which made me very happy!

Alexs pov
As we entered the care home I was staring to feel nervous. Once I meet Charlies grandad I shook his hand and said nice too meet you mr morris but he insisted me to call him Henry, which I think is a good sign, we chatted for ages. I kept making eye contact at Charlie, seeing her this happy makes me realise how much I like her.

Henrys Pov
I was really excited when I found out my visit with Charlie was back on. I missed her so much and I hate not seeing her. She took her friend Alex with her today, he seem really nice and he makes her so happy. I cant help but think they may be something more.

General pov
The three continued to laugh. Henry was telling Alex stories of Charlie when she was younger which caused her blush of embarrassment. But as the day went on charlie noticed her grandad was getting so she told her career and they brought him to his room.

Charlies pov
I noticed my grandad wasnt himself as they day went on so we went back to his room. He was much more quite but we were still having fun, we were looking at pictures of me when I was young which was slightly embarrassing but brought back amazing memories.

Alexs pov
When went up to Henrys room as he was starting to get tried. He brought out an old photo album which contained pictures of him and Charlie when she was younger. They had so many amazing memories together.

Henrys pov
Charlie noticed that I wasnt myself. This pained me as I was hiding a secret from her. That I am ill and I dont want to tell her as I know it woll break her heart but I know its the right thing to do.

General pov
Mike came to pick up Charlie and Alex.

Alexs pov
As I aid goodbye to Henry, he whispered in my ear "look after her for me" which made me confused and concerned. I replied "of course I will and left the room and went to the car with mike. Henry wanted to talk to Charlie in private

Charlies pov
As I was saying goodbye to grandad he said we needed talk. He told me that we wasnt well and he didnt have long left. This completely broke my heart. I couldn't stop crying. I pulled myself together and we parted ways. I sat in the beside Alex.

Alexs pov
As Charlie got in the car I could see that something was up. I asked if was okay and she said no and bust out crying. I wrapped my arms around her and she told be about her grandad. I gave a kiss on the top of her head and tried to confront her.

General pov
When they got home Charlie ran to her room. Alex made her a cuppa tea followed her to her room. Alex hopes that Charlie knows that he is here fkr her.
