Then the line goes dead.

*Drew POV*
I put my phone down and ponder on the question.
"Man breakfast smells amazing Drew. James was definitely right" Jessie says walking in
I look up at her and plaster a fake smile on my face.
"You okay" she asks
"That plane accident. It wasn't an accident. Someone was targeting me. Apparently I killed their Aunt. But I have never killed anyone" I say
"Did you say what your name was and did they say theirs" she asks
"Yeah but he didn't seem to care about the name. Yes he said his" I say
"Then let's go report it to the police" she says
"I also recorded the call so we have proof" I say
"Okay let's go" she says
"What about breakfast" I ask
"We can have it when we get back" she says
I sigh but get up using the table to steady me. I grab the cane and we go out to the car. She gets in the driver seat and we head off towards the police station. We get in there and after waiting for five minutes we get to talk with someone.
"Hi how may I help you" the officer asks
"This morning I received a call from someone saying they are after me. I was in a plane crash about a month ago and he said that he was the one who caused. He said he's trying to kill me because I killed his aunt. I have never killed anyone" I say
"Do you have the phone call" he asks
"Yes I do" I say
"Alright. Let me take you back to a room where we can talk more about this and I'll see what I can find out" he says
He leads us to a conference room and Jessie and I go in and sit down. A few minutes later he comes back with a file.
"Alright so I listened to the call and it does seem like he's after you. I found the file on the plane crash. The detectives and crime lab didn't find any evidence of tampering. However they did find shard of objects they couldn't identify. I ran the name through the system and this guy seems to live in Connecticut. I have the police there finding this guy" he says
"Alright." I say
"Since he is saying you murdered someone and you say you didn't We're gonna put you in a lie detecting test. It should only take a few minutes. Then shortly after we will see if they have coughs the guy" he says
I nod and follow him to a room. He sets me up on the machine then I am asked a variety of questions. Once done he says that I'm telling the truth so we go back to where Jessie is. The guy then gets a call. He hangs up and looks at us.
"You're free to go. They found the guy. He said he was looking for someone by the name of Ben Free and apparently he looks like you. You have nothing else to worry about and this guy who made the plane go down will be getting charged for attempted murder and other things as well as having to pay your medical bill so if you can send that to us we will send that to him" the officer says
We thank him and then leave. We get back in the car and go home. We get in and go to the kitchen. Jessie reheats our breakfast and we sit down and eat. Once we are done I go and get dressed then make sure my bags are ready and Jessie makes sure that Char's are ready. At ten I hear the door and little footsteps. I go out to the living room and see Char looking around.
"Who ya looking for baby girl" I ask
"You" she says
She turns around, sees me, and then runs and hugs my leg. I pick her up and hold her on my hip.
"Drew be careful." Natalie says walking in
"When am I not careful" I ask
She just shakes her head and rolls her eyes.
"Well I'm gonna head out. Grant is meeting me at the airport. We will see you in North Carolina." She says
"Alright. Baby girl say goodbye to Aunt Natalie and thank you" I say
Charlotte waves and Natalie leaves. I go to the kitchen where Jessie is cleaning up from breakfast.
"In about an hour and a half we'll eat lunch and then Char and I will leave. What should we do in the mean time" I ask
"Can we watch Frozen" Char asks
"How many times have you watched that today and yesterday" I ask
"Three" she says
"Pick a different movie" I say
"Moana" she cheers
"I guess" I say
We go to the living room and sit down. Jessie puts the movie on the comes sits next to me cuddling into my side while Char is on my lap. I'm just happy to be able to sit here and be with my two favorite girls. Even if I can't do much yet. Once the movie ends we turn the tv off and we all go get in the car. I drive this time. I start the engine then drive off to a local diner for lunch.
"Aunt Jessie are you goin to come to North Carolina" Char asks
"Not this time sweetie. I have work stuff to do. Maybe next year" Jessie says
"Ok." Char says
"Char finish eating. We have to be on the road for North Carolina in a few minutes" I say
"Done" she says
I look and she shoves three fries in her mouth. I show a small smile and shake my head. We get up, I pay, and leave a tip. We then go out to the car and get in. I drop Jessie off at home and Char quickly says goodbye then we head off down the road towards North Carolina.
"Char we aren't going to stop for dinner until late and then as soon as we get into Texas we will find a hotel to sleep in." I say
"Ok daddy" she says
"I'm sorry baby girl" I say
"Why" she asks
"I haven't been around when I promised I would always be there" I say
"It's okay daddy. Uncle Flippy and uncle Kevin explained it to me" she says
"Ok" I say
I turn the radio on and we listen to the radio as we drive along the road. Around six at night we stop for a quick dinner then get back on the road. Around 11 we arrive at the hotel. I look in the back and see Char asleep. I get out and then get out the bags. I put my back pack on my back. I pick Char up and then get the other two bags in my grip along with my cane. I close and lock the car doors. I then walk to the hotel and go inside. I go to the main desk to check in and as I am Grant and Natalie are walking into the lobby from the elevator.
"Hey Drew man what's up" Grant asks
"Not much" I say
"Drew would you like some help" Natalie asks
"I'm good" I say
"Let ya help you" Grant says
"Ok" I say
They each grab a bag so I'm only holding Char and my cane. I go up to the counter and check in. Once I get my room key the three of us get on the elevator. We get to the third floor and get off. We go to the room and grant uses the room key to unlock the door. He opens the door and I walk in. I turn the light on and then go to the first bed and lay Char down tucking her in. I then turn the light off and turn a lamp on.
"So what are you guys doing here" I ask
"Well we're going to the event in North Carolina and instead of meeting there we wanted to travel together. He was working a flight to Texas so I drove here and met up with him and then we're driving the rest of the way tomorrow" Natalie says
"Awe how sweet" I say
"It's good to see you on your feet man" Grant says
"Ya. I mean I can't walk without the cane yet but it feels good being able to walk around at least" I say
"I bet" Natalie says
"Well we better let you get some rest so you can stay awake to drive tomorrow. Why don't we all meet up for breakfast at 8 tomorrow morning" Grant says
"Ok" I say
They leave the room and I lock the hotel room door. I change into pajamas then turn the lights off. I turn the bathroom light on and close the door some. I check on Char then climb in my bed falling asleep slowly.
