Callie was busy in the lab so she was off-limits to help me and these boxes weren't the easiest to lift by myself. there was only a few more to load into the van but I didn't like relying on my powers for everything otherwise I would've of moved most of them by now.

However Tony did say I could call one of them to help me so if there's help, I might as well use it. I pull my phone out of my back pocket and start sifting through my contacts.

Bucky - no answer, Wanda - no answer, Pietro - no answer, Sam - no answer, Scott - no answer, Nat - no answer. the others, I didn't bother phoning because they had already dropped me messages saying how they were busy from certain times today and Tony specifically asked to not be disturbed, a loud sigh escaped from my mouth knowing there was only one other person that could help.

I sat there waiting to hear a voice on the other end of the phone then the ringing stopped "Hi are you free right now?" I asked the receiver, biting my thumbnail anxious for a reply "thank you I'll see you in a bit then" I respond to his answer, I set my phone in my back pocket and waited for the doorbell to echo.

Minutes later I heard the familiar ping of the bell and walked downstairs to greet my helper "Steve, hi" I welcome the blonde hair, blue-eyed heartthrob when I swung open the door.

"Hey, what do you need help with?," Steve asks with his hands in his pockets

"I've packed everything, I just need to load all of it up then I'm good to go tomorrow" I replied walking up the stairs with him trailing closely behind. I grabbed one of the smaller boxes from the corner of my room, balancing it on top of my knee "can you get that one for me cap?" I ask nodding my head to one of the bigger cardboard boxes that was basically overflowing. I watched as his muscles flexed when he lifted it to his chest and walked out of the room with me behind him

"how's your day been?" Steve asks me, breaking the thick silence

"it's been tiring but good I suppose, I had to remember everything and deep clean, what about your day?" I vent then return the question

"I've been training all morning with Buck" He breathes as he shoves the box into the moving van. I mirrored his actions shortly after

"you wouldn't think you'd need to with all of that" I joked playfully pulling the house door back open, making him shake his head whilst chuckling softly

"it doesn't hurt to train a bit even if you don't need it ma'am" there he goes with that pet name again, (I secretly liked it)

"I thought I asked you to stop calling me that" I whined like a child

"I guess we don't always get what we want, do we... ma'am" Rogers comments back, now that I did not expect. I see, sassy Steve is sassy.

we carry on passing boxes to each other and maxing trips up and down the stairs then finally the room was empty, nothing was in it except for us. "thank you Steve" I speak looking up at him, my voice echoed through the room

"I did say if you needed a hand I would always be here" the attractive man responded playing with my heart, screw it. I took a few steps up to him quickly, cupped his face with my small hands, pulling him into a simple yet soft and meaningful kiss. His lips left mine as he pulled away slowly, resting his hand on the small of my back "what do you want from me?" Steve asked with a firm tone to get an answer. he was constantly on my mind and I couldn't shake the feelings or thoughts I had for him. It was pulling me apart too much now, I was keeping myself from what I needed.

"I want you" I whispered, inches apart from his face

"I can't do this if you can't" He responded

"but I can" I spoke slowly

"then I can," Steve said lowering his head down to reconnect our lips, it sent a rush through me that I missed and only he could conjure

"what were you scared of?" Steve asked pulling away from me and admiring our intertwined hands

"I was scared of losing you but then I saw what was in front of me all this time and realised I already was" I answered, meeting his gaze quickly

"I've learned my lesson about waiting too long, this is something I'm not going to miss" my mind was everywhere but my eyes were focused on him, his words were enchanting me

"Well you're right on time Rogers" our hearts were finally in the same place.
