Part 11

~the guys and girls at the party~

"Laura, Lanny, Ruby, Joselin, Jasmin this is Cassie, Crystal, Diana, Tiffany, and Rosie." Daniel introduced them.

"Hi, nice to meet you," the new girls fake smiled while shaking their hands.

Laura fake smiled as well, she could smell a bitch from a mile away.

It didn't help that the girls were wearing short as dresses that barely covered their ass. Hoes.

"hey, you good?" lanny stood next to laura. 

"yeah, it's just something about these girls, I dont know." 

"If you're talking about the hoe-ness, yes It bothers me too." they both laugh.

"Hey, you want to dance?" this tall brunette guy walked over to the two girls and tapped on Laura's shoulder. 

she looked up.

"no, sorry." 

"c'mon it'll be a fast dance." he whined.

"nope. sorry I came with someone." He scoffed, "yeah I saw when you came, you came with the guy making out with the girl over there."

she turned her head and she was shattered, he was kissing Cathy? Casty? whatever her name was, he was kissing her, but I mean why would Laura care they weren't dating.

"Alright, I'll dance with you." Laura was hurt, but what else could she do about it.

"dude are you ok?" lanny who had seen everything asked concerned.

"Uhh yeah, im fine, why?" laura asked like if nothing happened.

"Just making sure. Go have fun, not too much though." Lanny walked away as Laura was pulled into the dancing crowd.

Lanny went all around looking for Daniel and she couldn't find him. She was scared that Daniel would be making out with one of the sisters. 

She walked out to the front of the house. There he was sitting down, talking to Crystal, it was pretty dark, the only light were the moon and the glowsticks he was wearing. 

she hid behind a bush.

"Daniel, I really want us to go back to how we were, you know back then we were small we didn't know what love was, now that we're older I feel like we should try it out." 

"Crystal understand I don't think it's going to work out-" 

"why not? Do I not attract you the slightest bit?" she started whispering the last parts.

Then she kissed him, the worst part is that he didn't pull away.

Lanny knew he was too good to be true. who would like her, all awkward and such a loser who would want to date her. Even though they weren't dating, she felt cheated on. she felt played. without making noise she got up and made her way back to the back to the party.  

she bumped into someone, "sorr- Lanny, are you ok?" ruby asked

"yeah why?" lanny looked around.

"Just asking, you look pretty pale."

"Yeah I'm good,"

"hey, can we go? I really want to go." ruby looked furious.

"um ok? let me go find Jasmin, Joselin and Laura and then we'll go." Lanny spotted Laura next to the food table.

"hey you wanna get out of here?" 

"uhh is that even a question?" Laura said in a duh tone.

They walked over to ruby who had found Joselin and jasmin.

"Alright lets go." they followed behind Laura.

when they walked out the front door Daniel and crystal were gone.

Lanny's thoughts went for the worst.

"I texted Corbyn that we left because we had something important tomorrow. I doubt he's going to have time to see it though." Laura said.

"Why's that?" Jasmin asked.

"i'm assuming." Laura shrugged while Lanny kept her gaze on the road.

"ruby are you ok?" Joselin asked, She nodded her head.

"Alright when we get to the house we need to talk about what happened because obviously it was a mistake coming to this party." Laura said.

"Alright so now that we're home, everyone is going to talk about tonight." Laura said taking her heels off. 

They sat quietly.

"I guess I'll start then, so I saw Corbyn kissing Cathy, and I mean I'm not to fond of his decision but what can I do about it." Laura had no emotion, she just shrugged.

"i'll go get a caprisun, while you guys think about what to say." she got up and went for a caprisun.

"so who's next?" she popped the straw in.

Lanny took a breath, "I saw Daniel kissing crystal, I mean yeah me and Daniel aren't together but I thought we were starting something... I guess not." Lanny was sad, but only Laura noticed.

Of course Laura would be the only one to notice, they've been friends as long as they can both remember.

"Trust me, he doesn't know what he's going to miss."laura reassured side hugging her.

silence filled the air.

"I guess I'll go next." Joselin broke the silence, "So I was getting a drink and then Jonah came from behind and hugged me, but then tiffany came and asked him to dance I had no problem with it so I let him, but then she started hoeing all over him, he let it happened and seemed to enjoy it, so I got mad and walked away, that's when I found ruby." Joselin seemed mad rather than sad.

"You should talk to him. Maybe he didn't mean it." Lanny suggested.

Joselin scoffed, "He was running his hands all over her body." Joselin's eyes started to water.

"hey, don't fuzz over a guy who doesn't appreciate you." Laura walked over to her and hugged her. she nodded and smiled wiping the one single tear that had escaped her eyes.

"So jack, he didn't actually do anything wrong, other than tell me that he was now dating Rosie. I mean yeah I thought we were going to be a thing but you see not all dreams come true,so I guess I can deal with it. I mean it actually hurt, but it's done."

Laura looked at her, "Dude, if you need to cry, do it, don't hold it in." Jasmin shook her head, "he doesn't deserve my tears." Laura knew she was really hurt, Jasmin wasn't the type to break down in front of everyone, she rather cry alone in her room.

"Zach and I almost kissed," They smiled,  "but then he backed away." their smiles fade away and her eyes start to water. "He told me that he couldn't do that to Diana," she paused and let a tear roll down, "I asked him what he meant and he said that he was already dating her," she started sobbing, "so then I just said ok and left" pause, "that's when I found Lanny."she cried onto Jasmin's arms. "And im not crying because he has a girlfriend, but because he played with me." Jasmin hushed her cradling her in her arms as she sobbed.

"Alright guys, let's not let this moment change our relationship with the guys, remember this mission was only to get that chip, nothing else. Keep them close, we're their only protection." ruby wiped her tears away.

They nodded and ate some cereal before going to bed.
