Part 25

Lanny's POV:

"Laura what's our next stop?" 

"I think we're done, We just need to take the guys to Torres and see what he wants to do with the boys."

"Where are James and the guys?" 

"James told me he was going to get a head start to the agency."

"So this is it?"

"Yeah, Sarah's dead along with her little team of vicious girls, we have the chip, the guys are protected, there's literally nothing else to do."

I nod my head understanding.

"It was pretty short."

"Yeah, I think it's just because we got our hands on the chip pretty easily, and we killed off like half of her team, and we also had some help of our own." she was referring to James and his team.

"What time do you want to head out tomorrow?"

"I think we should leave at around, 6 am. It's a safe time."

"ughhh" I groaned.

"shush, go to sleep, and tell the girls to go to sleep too."

I got up and before I left I smacked a pillow on her face and ran out the door.

she obviously ran after me.

As I ran to the living room, I bumped into someone..

Bumped would be an understatement, I practically tackled the person they fell to the floor holding me as I fell right on top of them.

I groaned, while everyone else laughed.

"Are you okay?"

I realized Daniel was lying right next to me.

"Shouldn't I be asking you that?"

He smiled.

"If that's your way of asking if I'm okay then yes, I'm fine."

He got up and then extended his arm out for me, I took it and as soon as I stood up I glared over at Laura.

"You're so dead." I glared at her, about to attack her before we heard someone ring the door bell.

"That may be the pizza delivery."

I walked over to the door opening it up.

Turns out it was.

"So why did you wake me up this early in the morning?"

"Laura told me to wake you up."

"oh shit, what time is it?"

"5:30am."

"okay I have enough time, tell her I'll be down in a minuet."

"k"

I turned around, "Ruby you don't 'k' someone unless you're upset, what's wrong."

She looked down on at her hands.

"It's just, I actually think I like Zach, and the thing is I know that this is over and we won't see them again. So it just can't happen, WE can't happen." 

I felt bad for her.

"Just think of it this way, you helped Zach a lot and he will be forever grateful, you'll be forever in his heart."

"Yeah, I guess you're right."

"C'mon ruby, you'll meet someone who's actually going to be able to be there for you, Zach is a popstar, even if you weren't a spy, he wouldn't have enough time."

"It's just he's different."

"Ruby, It's not gonna matter what you feel when we get to Torres, He's going to wipe out these Parts of their memory, All they're going to remember is the day before we met them. Everything is going to be a blur to them Including us. That's why Torres warned us before coming here. He wanted us to make sure we wouldn't end up liking them, he knew it wouldn't last long."

she let a tear roll down her eye.

"Yeah, I know."

"Ruby I know how you feel, It's the same thing with me and Daniel, That week we hung out together I Began liking him, When he got that stupid slut as his girlfriend I was jealous, I couldn't stand it. Now that he's no longer taken I want to be the one for him, but I know that wouldn't last very long, so I need to suck it up and deal with it, That's what this job is all about. We don't ever get anything like a relationship or a happy ending, what we do get is a lot of injuries, a lot of sacrificing, and primarily a lot of enemies."

"Why did we get into this?"

"Because, we like helping people." I smiled knowing my parents used to tell me to help those in need, they would be proud of what I've become.

she smiled, "Yeah, you're right. Thank you."

she walked up to me and hugged me. she wiped her eyes and walked out the door.

"Who wants the aux ?" I announced to the back.

"Oooo ME!!!" Jack jumped up in his seat.

" NO GIVE IT TO ME!!!" Jasmin said pushing him, back down on his seat.

Joselin snatched it from my hand and gave it to Jasmin.

"Don't play some wack ass music, or I will take the aux." I warned.

"With her music taste I doubt that's a possibility." Jack smirked over at jasmin.

She glared at him. everyone in the van cracked a laugh and she smacked him on his chest.

She scrolled threw her phone and finally put on some Selena Gomez.

"OH MY GAWDD!!" Jack yelled.

"THIS IS MY WIFE!!" he yelled again.

Everyone stared at him amused except for his band mates.

"He has a huge crush on Gomez." Jonah clarifies.

We nod and I look out the window humming to the music.

We have another 5 hours before we get to the agency.

Before they forget us.
