In this story, it is after the Season 3 of Tokyo Ghoul. Instead of running away, Ken Kaneki will be still part of the CCG but the mentor of the half-ghouls.
And no one died at the last episode. The CCG will not be capturing any ghouls just in sight but the Ghouls that are deem to be a threat.
Kaneki's position in the CCG will be the second in command.
