Sierra
I had a bounce in my step as I almost skipped along the pavement. As I neared the glass door, I pried it open and grinned widely as I took a step into the busy ice cream parlour.
White ceramic tiles on the floor and bright red booth seats. Brown wooden tables and the slightly colder temperature to keep all the ice creams from melting. What was there not to be excited about when I practically grew up here with the sweet tooth I have?
"Sierra!" I heard a voice call breaking me from my lustful admiration of the place.
It was Ari waving me over to the table him, Franco and my two friends were sat at. I swear Franco saw more of Louisa and Cara than me nowadays.
I smiled and waved back as I made my way over. Everyone was sat at the round booth quite comfortably and there was enough space for me.
Ari's eyes I could feel were on me as everyone smiled and said hi to me and he had this huge smile on his face. He was seated at the edge where I was standing. I shook my head at him slightly as if to ask what he was staring at me and smiling about.
Just as everyone was shuffling to make room for me, I was pulled into a lap as a yelp escaped my mouth.
My head quickly turned around and stared increduously at a cheeky, grinning Ari "What the fuck was that?!" I angrily shouted.
He didn't say anything just kept staring and grinning at me. Stupid. I flicked him on his forehead "This isn't high school! There was no need for that!" I yelled.
I turned around and shook my head and sulked by resting my elbow on the wooden table in front of me. The girls sniggered while Franco wolf-whistled and I shot them all daggers.
His hands tightened around my waist and he leaned into me as he whispered into my ear, his chest pressed into my back "Come on now, baby. I just thought you would like this too. You have to admit its fun" he snickered into my ear, his hot breath touching the shell of my ear in fast sudden breaths, his laugh vibrating through my hair.
A wry smile appeared on my lips "So fun!" I answered smugly as I kicked him hard in the shin.
He howled in pain as he bent down and clutched his shin "What happened Ari?" Franco asked with concern marred all over his face, his eyebrows furrowed, lips slightly parted.
"Oh nothing, he's just seeing how fun it is to have me in his lap" I smiled so widely I think I freaked Franco out a little as he gulped.
I saw my chance with Ari at the side of me as he was bent down and rubbing his shin, I was in the midst of getting up when his arms snaked around my waist so tightly "Uh uh uh, you aren't going anywhere" and he pulled me back into his lap more firmly than before.
I gave up knowing there was no way he was letting me get up. Instead, I studied the big pink and black menu. What was I in the mood for? He put his chin on my shoulder resting on it completely and began studying the menu with me.
"Wait, I can't see because of your hair" and with that one of his hands brushed my hair from my right shoulder to my over my left shoulder all the while the tips of his fingers brushed across from one shoulder blade to the other. Even through my black top, his fingers elicited a shiver running through me.
His mouth was between my neck and shoulder, and he chuckled, the vibration of which made the fine hairs on my neck stand up "And you said this wasn't fun!" he kissed my just under my ear with the lightest touch.
No matter how hard I tried to resist, a tiny smile appeared at the corner of my lips.
"So what do you think of that Sttrawberry Cheesecake Sundae?" there is no one else he could have been speaking to as he whispered that as he adjusted his chin on my shoulder.
