Ari

I was putting the finishing touches on a few things before Sierra got here. Making sure everything worked and looked as it should.

I stepped back and admired the view. I had lay a blanket down on the grass and strung paper lanterns with little lights in them, on a tree in the corner to my right while I had placed the rest of those lanterns in front of us in the grass. I had a basket lying near the blanket with some food and snacks in it.

I looked down at what I was wearing and straightened it out. I had on my black jeans and a black shirt with the sleeves rolled up to my elbows. She loved the colour blue and since that was the colour of my eyes I thought she would like it if they stood out hence I was wearing all black. Did things like that matter to girls? I didn't know but I thought it would help my eyes stand out.

She would be here any minute now. I had gotten Franco to blindfold her and bring her here with the help of Zack and she would be here.

My palms were sweating. Why the fuck was I so nervous? It was Sierra. I quickly rubbed my palms against my jeans, hoping the denim would soak up some of the moisture.

I heard a few voices floating over to me and I couldn't make out what they were saying but based on the fact that I heard two male voices and a female voice I was guessing it was them. As the voices grew closer I realised it was indeed them.

"Guys are we nearly there yet?" Sierra whined.

"Yeah, man, just a little further" Franco coaxed her as they rounded the corner and came into view.

Zack gasped so dramatically as he took in the surroundings.

Sierra stopped suddenly "What? What is it?! Is it a spider?!" she shrieked as she clutched onto Zack really tightly.

"No Sierra! It...was...a...bird that flew really close to Zack. He didn't see it and got a bit of a fright" Franco shook his head at Zack and widened his eyes in warning.

"Yeah...err...sorry. Really took me by surprise, the little birdie did" Zack sounded so uncertain. They had better not fuck this up now that we were down to the last second quite literally.

I slowly and soundlessly made my way over to them. I signalled for Zack and Franco to stop with Sierra and leave in a shooing motion. They did "Guys? Guys? Where are you?! If you have just left me in the middle of nowhere this isn't funny! Guys!" I could hear the absolute panic in her voice.

I edged closer to her and as she stood in front of me, in one quick motion I undid the blindfold at the back of her head and took it off.

"WHAT THE f-" but she was cut short as she saw my face, her face of rage changing into a soft, admiring smile.

"Hi" she breathed out instead and I was greatful.

"Hi love" I pecked her on the lips and I saw her pout as I moved away and didn't let her hold me. I grabbed one of her hands and moved out her way as I stood beside her and let her take in the view that I had been blocking with my body.

"ARI" she gasped. Her hand that was free flew to her mouth as she took in every corner and every detail.

She turned to me, her face full to the brim with emotion as she placed a hand over her heart "This is beautiful. I can't believe you did this just for me" she whispered.

She quickly pulled me close to her and wrapped her arms around my neck. I kissed her bare shoulder and nuzzled her neck as she buried her face in my chest "All this for a date? You're crazy you know that?" her voice muffled by my chest.
