That waking morning I felt better than ever, then remembered this would be our only day together for a month. No matter, waking up next to him makes me feel the happiest. We sat on the bed for about a half an hour before getting up.

"What's on the agenda for today?" I asked Awsten as he cooked us breakfast and I sat at the table. Apparently, it was too hot in my apartment so Awsten just had to whip off his shirt. There wasn't a better sight in the morning than your shirtless boyfriend making you breakfast. I took a quick picture on my phone of him and pretended as nothing happened.

Pouring the sunny-side eggs on two separate plates, Awsten set a plate in front of me and one in front of his seat. "We can do anything and I'll be okay with it." I felt the exact same way. Awsten could say we're going on an adventure and then bring me to a McDonald's and I'd be okay with it.

"I have an idea." I finished up my breakfast and put the plate in the sink for future-me to clean. I turned around to Awsten with a smile on my face, "I don't know where we're gonna go, we're just gonna drive." This could be the most incredible idea I've ever had or the most stupid idea in the world.

Awsten shoved the remaining eggs in his mouth and jumped out of his seat. "C'mon let's get dressed!" Who knew that this would get him all pumped up. We rushed into my room where his shirt was thrown onto the blankets, wrinkled and balled up. He wore his clothes from the night before while I pulled out an entirely different outfit.

I changed in the washroom, examining my constantly growing stomach. In six more months, there will be a child belonging to both Awsten and me, and we'll be living in Los Angeles with new views and experiences. I have to buy maternity clothes soon because I know these clothes won't last me the entire nine months.

I came out of the washroom, Awsten engulfing me in a hug immediately. There was no reason behind it aside from "It's been a while since I've done this."

Turning the key in the car, Awsten sat in the front with me. The clock in the car read twelve forty-three. In about seven hours Awsten would have to be back at the tour bus for the next city.

"Where are we going," he would ask. I had no idea but I couldn't tell him. The music on the radio was blasting and we sang along, smiles on our faces. If it was possible, we would be driving faster than the planes above us.

Highways turned into backstreets. Car horns turned into children's bicycle bells. I wish I lived around here so I'd have an amazing place to walk around and get lost. For now, I'll drive in my car observing all of it.

I parked the car in an empty school parking lot, viewing the most likely abandoned elementary school. Nothing was going to be done about this school and everything about it made it feel haunted.

Before I could turn around to start venturing out, Awsten walked towards the vacant building, already looking for a way in. There must have been someone here before us, as one of the windows was broken open.

"Awsten!" I whispered while trying not to laugh. With those words coming out of my mouth, he was already pushing himself through the window, avoiding the sharp glass pieces. If it wasn't obvious, he's a child that loves possessed places.

"Fuck it," I mumbled to myself, getting ready to steadily push myself through the window as well. It wasn't as difficult as Awsten made it out to be, as my feet hit the floor of a classroom in no time. He was just being dramatic.

Desks are pushed to one side of the class, like some scene out of a horror movie. Kids haven't breathed in here for what seems like years.

"Let's go," Awsten said, grabbing my hand to lead me deeper into the lightless halls. Out of this entire building, Awsten and I were the only warm parts. "Maybe we should move in here."

"Shut up," I laughed, walking alongside him. "I feel like we're in a Stephen King novel right now." Blood could run down the sides of the walls and I wouldn't think anything of it; we got ourselves into this mess. All of the classrooms looked the same with their torn posters and desks against the wall. Lights had their protective glass broken, the debris on the floor.

Our footsteps echoed through the empty halls. This felt like a haunted house and the only true part of that is haunted.

We took a break by the abandoned office and plopped down on the hard, dusty floor. My legs were hugged up to my chest, and putting them down as soon as Awsten yelled "The baby!" Rolling my eyes, I set my legs down to be covered in the dust bunnies.

He leaned his head on my shoulder and looked up enough for it to be comfortable for the two of us and also to examine my face. "You're really pretty, did you know?" What a great, sweet line to be said in a haunted school.

I looked down at him. His eyes never lost their beauty since the day we met; somehow they got even more wonderful. Waves of blue and a hint of green all mixing together, creating the most soul-snatching colour I've ever seen.

"I really want to kiss you," I admitted, my eyes lowering from his own down to his lips. Those lips that have been in a smile for most of the time we spend with one another. Slightly chapped, yet such a large desire for them to be on mine.

This wasn't the ideal date spot for me but I know with my entire heart that Awsten would trade a dinner date to be in a ghost-ridden elementary school. Even though we just recently discovered this place, I never want to leave.

"What's stopping you?" The quiet lingering in the halls made the words we say mean more somehow. His voice reverberated off the walls, making my heart beat along with the sound of the slowly fading echo.

Lifting his head up, Awsten turned his body to face me. We probably looked like two preschool students embarrassed to have their first kiss. However, all the kisses we shared, this felt new. It could be the fact that we broke into a closed off space and anything we do feels wrong.

His lips were hot and soft, unlike how they appear. They moved in rhythm against my own, trying his best to make the two of us comfortable. A hand moved to the side of my face, getting more involved.

Breaking up out of what was going on, my phone vibrated. On the screen read "Three hours :(" meaning there were only three hours until Awsten had to be at the tour bus, also meaning we should be going now.

"We have to go," I sighed, hating the thought of being alone again while Awsten is on tour.

He knew that we must not delay or he'll get yelled at by staff for being late. Travelling through the school, we ended up where we started; in the parking lot. I started up the car and the radio came on immediately, making this long car ride back less unbearable.

When my car stopped in the parking of the last Warped venue they played, Awsten knew he had to get back. Neither of us wanted to be separated for a month, but this is what you get when you date a musician.

"I'll FaceTime you every day, I promise," he told me, kissing my cheek. "We can talk about whatever." His lips moved to my neck before I stopped him and sent him on his way. "I'll miss you."

"I'll miss you too." Watching him run out to catch his own bus was heartbreaking as it is, even more heartbreaking was the days after where I didn't get a FaceTime call after he promised. The only presence of him was on Instagram and Twitter, posting pictures. Maybe he's just too tired to FaceTime, or maybe I'm too clingy.

Those nights I waited for my phone to light up with his name, it never did. I didn't want to bother him; if he didn't want to talk I shouldn't pressure him. But man, it hurt.
